We absolutely loved our visit to Manju’s. The restaurant is very atmospheric, the service is excellent and the food delicious. It is so imaginative and beautifully presented, and we really liked that the dishes came out separately so that we could savour each one. The prices were very reasonable for such original and high quality food - this is definitely our favourite restaurant in Brighton.

An excellent meal all round, delicious chutneys, dhal and amazing vegetarian choices. The kulfi was outstanding when I really thought I couldn’t manage a sweet! Lovely attentive service, a big win..

Third time we've been now - we were worried they wouldn't reopen after the pandemic. Such a great experience every time. Not only is the food well presented, varied and authentic, but the explanations of what the dishes are add to the experience. You get a really warm welcome and you feel like a genuine guest of the family. Our favourite place in Brighton!

This is the second time I had been and really didn't disappoint.....the food is delicious, service is impeccable. Such a friendly place....You are really made to feel very welcome. There was even a little chalkboard sign on our table, welcoming the three of us and wishing us an enjoyable evening. Thank you so much for a lovely evening.

Delicious lunch with a family member seated by the window, we arrived to find our names written on a slate which felt very welcoming and personalised! Food was delicious and helpful recommendations given when asked. Great for a welcoming, delicious, veggie lunch at a delightful spot in Brighton. I'll be back.

Sensational and surprising Gujarati feast. This restaurant is unique in that it serves taster menus for 'sharers' like us and limits to groups of up to four but never more. So there are no rowdy crowds! We went as a couple for a special occasion and the delicious, unique, exciting dishes kept on coming. We had 6 small plates so that we could taste a little bit of everything and we hadn't tasted any of it before anywhere else. It is great if you are Plant-based eaters! The restaurant is Vegetarian anyway by culture and so vegan food is simply a natural extension. So they serve family dishes that happen to be vegan and other dishes can be made vegan so it is super easy to be Plant Based. I loved everything about this imaginative, warm and convivial place and the food is sublime... especially the lemon pickle, the sesame potato patties and the aubergine and pea curry. The family stories behind this small one off independent restaurant are heart warming and inspiring and they really buck the trend of chains and formulas. The styling is gorgeous with nods to the traditional but not a pastiche and the atmosphere is special and romantic but not formal and devoid of pomposity and so it draws a nice crowd of food loving people having intimate dinners and appreciating the details. There is nothing this family has forgotten. Every detail matters. Great value, plentiful portions and genial, personal service. You will leave wanting to buy your family presents of their gorgeous chutneys and the soon to be published cook book and bring all of your fave people for a meal. We both left vowing that we'll never eat anywhere else again.

Beautiful place for dinner, staff were lovely and very informative about each dish. Food is so tasty and full of flavour and spice. We had DHAL MAHKANI, CHANA PALAK, COURGETTE BHAJIA, and KACHORI between two of us, which was enough. Manju is 86 and still cooking for her customers every night which is unbelievable! This is much better than going to any chain Indian restaurant. Great experience ?

We booked a table at Manju's based on the excellent reviews without realising it is a vegetarian Indian restaurant. As a carnivore I considered leaving, but this would have been a huge mistake. Quite simply this is the best Indian dining experience I have ever had! Great hosts, excellent attention to detail and fantastic food that has clearly been make a lot of thought and 'love'. Fantastic flavours and a limited number of very different dishes all cooked to order. Highly recommended.

An absolutely superb first ever visit ! 5 of us for my birthday treat. What a wonderful restaurant, excellent advice from Manjus son to literally have everything on the menu to share! Amazingly topped off with a complimentary birthday surprise complete with music and a candle! The best Indian vegetarian meal I have ever eaten!
