As an Irish man of course had to try the Irish bar, during the day, bar man was great, nice and quiet, came back next day later in the evening, woman on the door asking for ID, me in my 40s not carrying one, kept telling me she was challenge 30, wouldn't tell me what that even meant, just kept saying challenge 30, still don't know, I've done security for years myself and she's the wrong person to have on the door, no professionalism, awful attitude, she's the kind of person that gives security a bad reputation. During the day fine pub but at night id give it a skip, plenty of friendlier and nicer places just around the corner

Live bands on a Saturday that are really good. The sport is on the screens all around the pub as well if that's your thing. Always a good crowd lots of singing and dancing and the bar although busy moves quickly.

Had a really bad experience with a bouncer called Kaz (or something like that). When we turned up we were queued the wrong side and she shouted at us and told us to queue the other way or we won’t be let in. I asked her if she could’ve told us that in a more polite way since she genuinely shouted when we had done nothing wrong. She then told me that I couldn’t come in as I had been rude. I feel like asking for someone to be polite when I had not done anything wrong was a reasonable request. Bouncers should be deescalating situations and not be the ones shouting in the first place. Clearly the bouncers need more training.

An unassuming pub from outside, that hosts engaging live musicians, a good selection of drinks served by friendly staff, that creates a natural lively pub atmosphere.Open late enough that you'll be happy to head home before last orders.

Love this pub! Visit it every time we come to town. Shows football, friendly staff and good choice of beer. New refit gives more room.... Please visit! Live.kusoc is awesome!!!

What a night we had MM’s great bar manager, great atmosphere, best Irish bar in town by far!! Met some proper genuine people that night! Justin(e) and her fella! Great solo act on too! Plenty of rebel songs with a mix of Oasis! Didn’t know any Verve tho which was my only disappointment of the evening ????

Staff are brilliant but it's a little overpriced for what it is. I'd recommend it for a lad's football/rugby match but apart from that.. and it would be nice if they had coffee or tea for the non drinkers..had to go somewhere else to get a coffee for that 1 person. ?

Rainy night, only had Lucky Saint 0% beer, plenty alcohol draught/spirit options tho. Quiet when got there, Beer garden at rear spacious. Livened up as leaving, some1 playin guitar on stage got small crowd dancing. Best to have photo I.D. Didn't try food hence no score

Used to be really good in here but now the prices are horrific your looking at 7 pounds a pint I don't know anyone who can afford that

Horrifyingly toxic staff/security, too many people I know have been individually bullied for an entire night. Thrown out and laughed at with no help nor explanation. Clearly picking on people for fun and no shame. Just stay away.

will never be coming back to this pub, I am appalled at the way that the bouncers treated my friend. my friends and I came to have a good night together and it was completely ruined; they followed her around, a YOUNG GIRL, bullying her relentlessly. the security thrive off of power tripping the customers… made my friend bawl her eyes out by bullying her and kicked her to the streets with no remorse. disgusting behaviour - if you are worried about someone’s alcohol consumption, ESPECIALLY A YOUNG GIRL, this is the complete opposite of how to deal with it.take responsibility and FIRE THESE BOUNCERS!!!

dreadful place, bouncers were absolutely disgusting and completely unprofessional. started mocking my friend and literally bullying her to the point that she started to cry. how can you have people like that work for you, completely embarrassing.
