We came for my sister’s birthday for a Sunday Lunch, I have to say this is the best roast I think I’ve ever had!!! For a roast to have so much flavour blew my my mind. Even our 7 and 10 year olds loved it! Not only that it’s a warm, welcoming place and dog friendly! ?

What a great local pub! Situated between two of Brightons great parks (Preston and Blakers) is the PPT a fabulous gastro boozer.A solid range of beers on tap + a menu which a fine dining restaurant would be proud of.For our Saturday lunch we opted with the cod and the chicken, and they did not disappoint! Highly recommend.Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly

I am visiting from Canada and my family recommended this restaurant...The bloody Mary's were super good.I ordered a steak, cooked to perfection... I would recommend having it without the garlic butter on top since it added a salty taste to it, that I wasn't to keen on. French fries were great, very thick and cooked to perfection.I ordered the mozzarella, tomatoe, basil starter plate, it was a little bland, would of preferred fresh basil instead of the basil/pesto drissel they put on it. Great portion size.We also ordered the 'fried beef/ tartar appetizer. Amazing!!!!!!My family got the cod and said it was excellent. Also a shout out to Abbie for her kindness and excellent customer service. Also Faye, thanks so much for your help. You two seem like a great team. Will definitely be back. Also sticky toffee pudding for the win!

PPT has seriously upped its game from great to excellent! Thoroughly recommend trying a midweek meal here.

Wonderful Sunday roast. Think we had missed the Sunday crowds post 4pm but perfect roast for meat eaters and vege. Best Cauliflower Cheese in Brighton (and we have tried many!). The staff were all very lovely. It will be a new regular!

Early Thursday evening the pub was already humming. However, there were a few tables free so we sat in the corner. Unfortunately there was a table of about 6 women by the window who were obviously celebrating so the noise levels got louder and louder. We ordered our drinks and food at the bar and service was quick and easy. I had hake and prawn risotto which was exceptional and my friend had fish and chips which was not quite as good. The fish was small and the mushy peas very watery and tasteless. There was a good selection of very nice wines on offer. I had a very nice Squealing Pig Sauvignon Blanc for £6.65 and my friend had a G&T for £7. Not too expensive and we had a very nice meal although somewhat ruined by the noisy atmosphere which I suppose is only to be expected in a Brighton pub! The meal with drinks was £50 for two.

Had a Sunday roast here at the weekend at is was up there with the best. The pork was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing! Roast potatoes were crisp, salty goodness. The veg (cauliflower cheese, roasted carrots, greens, sweet potato purée) were all just as you’d want them. Great big fluffy Yorkshire - good stuff. And the gravy was thin but it packed a flavour punch and was served in a good quantity! If I could change one thing it would have been to swap out the purée for extra apple sauce, but that’s personal preference! My partner and friend were equally impressed with the vegetarian roast, however they were both slightly unsure of the veggie gravy which was orange, potentially carrot or sweet potato based. It was tasty - just unexpected. The sticky toffee pudding was really moist and flavourful! Personally I like it with a little less toffee sauce, or for it to be in a jug, but it didn’t stop us eating it all. Will definitely be back.

Brilliant food: came down from London and had one of the best pub meals for a long time, and on a Monday lunchtime.Perfectly cooked cod, homemade bread, brilliant fresh parfait. Really excellent.

Pleasant pub, good range of beers - not so much choice of cask beer the day we visited. Can't vouch for the food but by all accounts it's good. Staff were great. Recommended for a local pub.

A nice meal ruined by the obvious priority for all staff being to make sure their customers left within the allotted time slot. Made even more annoying by the very many empty tables all around us the entire time we were there. (Which turned out to be not very long at all! No one wanted to stay for desserts or coffee seeing as we all felt very unwelcome!

Nice pub, friendly staff and great outdoor area, shame about the price of a pint tho.

The pub is a gem nice outdoor seating and private garden. Staff are friendly and welcoming. The food menu is very good and the chef is amazing the plates of food have so much flavour and are well balanced. Will be back soon.

Great food and one of the best people behind a bar I have ever met: the only person EVER to put ice in beer glasses to cool them down after they came out of the dishwasher before pouring beer. Class. She is a star. Give her a pay rise.
