I brought my son and daughter for dinner this evening. My daughter has just moved to Brighton my son was visiting from London, we had not eaten here before but over the last few evenings had noticed the restaurant was always full. What a warm welcome we received. The food was really delicious, so full of flavour. We will definitely return. The music was great too! I would highly recommend.

We were staying in an apartment nearby and were not disappointed. Ordered crispy duck and pork dish. Delivered on time and food was very tasty. Would try eating in next time visiting Brighton.

Three of us decided to call in after a couple of beers on Sunday evening. The windows were steamed up and, on entering, found the place to be pretty crowded, mostly with what appeared to be Chinese clientele.The decor is nothing to write home about but the food was fine. The menu is sectioned in to what could be described as 'English' Chinese and home-cooked Chinese. My companions chose a spicy battered chicken dish and I opted for the prawn with egg, cucumber and black fungus. This was accompanied by egg-fried rice and brocolli in a garlic sauce...washed down with some Tsingtao beer.The staff were friendly and efficient and the food arrived quickly, piping hot and in generous proportions. In fact, doggy bags were required.The popular dish seemed to be the hotpot which I should be tempted to try on another occasion.All in all a very satisfying visit at a very reasonable price.

Been here a lot it’s very hit and miss sometimes really nice but sometimes cold, depending on when you order can take 2+ hours to deliver but again sometimes can we quicker. Most of the time the food is good.

A lovely little restaurant with a great choice of menu. The waitress was very helpful in recommending dishes she thought we would like and we did! The food was delicious with good sized portions and very reasonably priced.

Food very nice although a tad pricey ..For some reason the waiter gave us a knife and fork and a plate…, v difficult to eat Chinese with..Everyone else ( mainly Chinese) had chopsticks and bowls .. much more appropriate!We did manage to get chopsticks but the plates remained!!!However the sizzling plate of seafood and tofu was delicious

I love this place. It’s utterly unpretentious and always super friendly with a great menu that doesn’t break the bank. The restaurant invests in food and welcoming, rather than fancy decor, and it’s brilliant.

Fantastic evening at Lucky Star. We made a last minute booking for a large group and they were very lovely and accommodating. Food was delicious, staff were very attentive and ensured we had a great dinner. Thank you guys can’t wait to visit again!

Called at lunchtime for a booking on a Friday night for a total of 9 people.Food was delicious, a hidden gem with great friendly staff.Highly recommend and if we come back to Brighton we will be back here for the food that’s for sure.
