Wonderful pub! The staff was extra friendly and the patrons quite jolly! Prices were very reasonable. We stopped in as we were walking by and it was karaoke night. We had a very good time. The pub was filled with folks of all age groups. I will definitely stop back again.

It is always a treat to visit this pub after long hours of shopping and the staff is friendly. It is tight and crowded inside but outside is a better place to enjoy a drink or two. For the added value you tend to get hungry when you get the smell of the nice hamburgers and hot dogs from the stand above.Sit back and relax and enjoy a drink at this pub

Very friendly pub good if you want to watch the football. Fabulous food massive portions . Well worth a visit if you're in Brighton. Right in the centre where all the shops are.

Lovely little family run pub right next to the busy Churchill Square shopping centre. Home cooked food available during the afternoon, with a wide range of Shepherd Neame ales on tap. Karaoke and live groups most weekends.

Out for the night with friends and stumbled across this pub. Lots of fab atmosphere being karaoke night, however I felt the night was spoilt by whom I thought was the landlord insisting his service area was kept free, bearing in mind there is limited seating, so the obvious place to stand is at the bar… oh no this is not allowed due to the stampede of 20 locals fighting over the 7 metre bar all at once….. I do feel the ‘landlord’ could be more flexible there was at least 2 metres of empty bar space behind mind and no issue of anyone waiting to be served. This landlord clearly took a disliking to anyone new coming into his domain, which is a shame as it could have been a good news night.

Thought we’d give it a try as not been for a while. Our server was nice and capable being friendly and happy.Food was mediocre and I was say a little over priced.Venue is lovely great decoration and huge.Would we go back - not really better places and better food available for the money

Heard good things about this pub. Good experience from calling to make the reservation to leaving the venue. Courteous service throughout. We were a party of 7, including 2 wheelchairs, on arrival we were immediately helped getting the wheelchair up the entrance step and directed to a large table in the corner of the pub. The pub had a 'friendly feel' about it and we soon felt relaxed & settled. Drinks were ordered at the bar and kindly delivered to the table quickly. We took a while to peruse the menu, which offered a selection of choices for vegetarians, non meat eaters & vegans, which accounted for 5 of our group of 7! In fact the vegans were spoilt for choice, which pleased them. A friendly young man came and took our order, happily 'tweaking' a couple of the menu items as requested. The whole venue had a great relaxed feel about it, ideal choice of music playing in the background, loud enough to hear, but not too loud, conversations flowed freely throughout the whole pub. We waited about 25/30 mins for our food to arrive, which was exactly timings we had been advised when we ordered. All meals looked well presented and inviting to eat. A further drinks order was taken at this time. Conversation was limited at our table for the next 20 minutes or so, apart from the sound of 'umm' a good sign that everyone seemed to be enjoying their menu choices! The overall opinion at the table was very good, just one slight negative comment, two people said the batter on the 'battered halloumi' was bit to thick & heavy, apart from that, everyone else happy. Even though everyone was 'full' we decided to order a couple of desserts for everyone to share, including the vegans within our group, another positive with the menu! Overall opinion from our party of 7, age ranged from 25 - 81, good choice, friendly relaxed welcoming venue, varied reasonably priced menu catering for a variety of customer needs,'service orientated attentive' staff. We all enjoyed our night out, would highly recommend and next time we visit family in the area we will return.

You’ll probably find some better pubs in Brighton, but we didn’t have time to hunt them out as the weather was awful. Drinks were good, it’s a cosy place and deceptively big. A decent option for a couple of hours and we didn’t struggle to get a booking. There seemed to be a huge number of staff on though, but no one available to clear our table and we had to queue for ages at the door to get seated. Didnt see the food so not sure what it’s like. It was very quiet on a Sunday evening, but probably more to do with covid etc.

Booked following an indication that good veggie Vegan options were available. So true. Absolutley gorgeous roast and the veggie options were stunning. This isn't even mentioning the coconut and mango desert.... will most definitley be back!
