UPDATE: Following a response from the manager, I'd like to make a few further points. Adam, while it wasn't your intention to cause issues by parking illegally, and you 'require access' - this doesn't place you above the law, nor does it take precedence over the safety of local residents and other road users/pedestrians. I appreciate that you'd have preferred I come and speak to you/leave a note, but I didn't want to. I don't appreciate you saying that my review affects your sales/staff, I'm sure they do work hard, but I'd argue that it was your actions that have affected these things, not me just choosing to point out facts that pertain to your establishment. I also see that you've conveniently failed to address the time you chose to not display a missing cat poster, which is hardly in the spirit of community.Manager of the pub, Adam, parks on double yellows opposite the pub, blocking the view of traffic for cars trying to pull onto the main road. Creates a dangerous situation because he refuses to park anywhere other than 5 metres from his place of work. Also refused to display a missing cat poster in the pub’s window.

Had a lovely Sunday roast at the Roundhill. Didn’t have to wait long for the food and it was piping hot. Very good portion and I do really like their Yorkshire puddings. Pleasing to see a vegan restaurant full of happy

Amazing food lovely staff managed awesome in the Sunday dinner busy period. Much appreciated ??Fantastic range of roasts expertly cooked, vegan meats were fantastic, beef and chicken especially! A perfect balance of fancy and home cooked roasts from childhood. Puddings were beautiful, sticky toffee was borderline sinful! All absolutely stuffed and rolling home happy. Thanks all! ???Sorry the picture isn't really aesthetic, empty plates are the best endorsement though right!?

Visited The Roundhill 10th March 2024 for mothers day... Booked as a treat by my son. Arrived and stood for around 10 mins at the bar.. No eye contact or acknowledgement from any staff member, eventually had to get the attention of a lost looking young lad to say we had a reservation... He then looked for our booking on the computer and couldn't find it... Until I pointed it out for him, he proceeded to show us to a very small round table squeezed between the kitchen and toilet with 2 seats and said he would get another chair for our party of 3, this would have blocked the entrance to the toilet! I explained this wouldn't be suitable, so he went to speak to another member of staff... He then came back and offered us another very small round table ( not enough room for 3 plates of food) and squeezed us in another corner. I asked if we could sit at the table next to us as this had enough room for 3 people, He said it wasn't possible as reserved for a party of 2 and the timings wouldn't work!? This seemed ridiculous to me but we sat at the table given. By this time we had been there approx 20 mins... We waited to be served for another 10 mins... At which point another party was seated and brought water straight to their table. At this point we were feeling very ignored and my son and husband felt bad as this was meant to be a treat for mothers day. We decided to call it a day and left. I called the restaurant when we were making our way back to the car as my son felt uncomfortable about making a scene in the restaurant... I spoke to Imogen who had been serving behind the bar, she was very apologetic about what had happened and offered to sort it out... I said we would feel awkward about returning at that point, so she said the manager would call to speak to us in an hour... This was at 3.30pm....they never called. All I can say is, we have been on several occasions and had reasonably good service.... This on the other hand was extremely poor. Such a shame as we won't be returning.

Really nice pub and a great location for the vegan supper club we were attending there on Monday. Both were great, will definitely be visiting again!

Me and my friends had a lovely time. Food came out very quickly and we had good service by Nathan, who checked on us regularly and kept our water topped up. Especially loved the small plates the arancini was very tasty. Generous portions. Beautiful chill atmosphere!! Would recommend :)

Incredible food (the cauliflower wings are out of this world), lovely staff, gorgeous

Used to be our favourite place for the crispy cauliflower wings, the mushroom burger plus lots of other delicious options. Came for lunch today and so disappointed. The cauliflower wings were soggy, chips were definitely not triple cooked snd the burger is a ‘beyond burger’ which you can get anywhere inc at home! The menu is very limited now so sadly we won’t be back again for a long time.

We went twice. The first time was fantastic - perfect service, good drinks & dishes, the place is lovely with an antique stair and lots of (real, not plastic) plants. The 2nd one was catastrophic, 4 waiters doing nothing, people lining up and leaving after 20/30/40 minutes being ignored, catastrophic cocktails. We might go back but the 2nd time was one of the most catastrophic staff performance we ever witnessed.

Came here for dinner on a Thursday evening. Tried the buffalo panko cauliflower which was tasty. Also tried the Buddha bowl (forgot to take a photo) and the seitan coconut noodle soup. The coconut noodle soup was okay - I wouldn’t recommend it if you’re feeling like Asian food as it tasted a bit like a the ingredients were just thrown together. The seitan wasn’t very pleasant. The coconut soup base was creamy. It was strange to eat udon noodle soup with a spoon and a fork though. Service was good and friendly.

Best pub roast I've ever had, and I've had more than I'd like to admit ?

We'd been twice before and on each occasion it was outstanding. So, our visit yesterday was a real disappointment. The starters were great but of the mains, mine was cold and had to go back for a re-heat which meant the nan was then over-done, and in the Buddha bowl the batter round the cauliflower was raw. They'd run out of hummus so that was missing but we were told when we ordered. Unfortunately, the staff seemed to be wishing they were somewhere else. It was a real shame as we'd taken friends specially and felt let down.
