Horrible cliental, very homophonic. I was hit by a man, banter apparently. Supported by the management, and not questioned. Never going back again.

I was very excited to be visiting Brighton for the first time in a while and popped in the pub to kill some time. I have had some good times and expect cool music. Unfortunately, after a brief good start, I was bombarded with the sort of dross I have to put up with on Nation Radio Suffolk at work every day. Brighton prices to get the likes of The Eagles & Elton John? I expect better.

Have visited here a number of time for the Thai food. Great selection available on the menu and everything I've tried so far has been very tasty! Great value too so what's not to like! Draft beers are well kept and reasonably priced considering the location in Brighton

Loved catching up with Zak & Victoria and of course Biscuit! This is the best pub in Kemptown and well worth a visit. Ps I promise to bring the glass back in the morning Vic ??

Popped in for a couple of pints given it was a pub my lad used to frequent when he lived and worked in Brighton. Having been now, I can understand why he liked it. My visit started really well given they had one of my favourite beers on draft - ‘Proper Job’ - so what more could I ask for. It was very busy inside so opted to sit outside and watch the Kemptown world pass by and, boy, it is a very varied and interesting world hence the need for the second pint?! Have to say that the staff there were very friendly and added to what was a pleasurable and eye opening experience and would look to visit again if ever in Brighton again, which is likely.

Visited Brighton last weekend for my birthday and I stumbled upon this wonderful place. In the days of people staring at their phones checking for likes it was a comfortable change to find that people actually engaged and talked to you. Yes it happened two nights in a row. On night two one of our new friends introduced us to the owner. His reply was. Yes I saw these guys here last night. It says it all. Fast Efficient Friendly Service. Highly Recommended ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Great bar staff and a really relaxed atmosphere. The owners Victoria and Zak have a fabulous little poodle called ‘Biscuit’. Tonight we decided on a whim to order a pizza and fries and these were stunning! The chef previously worked at VIP (the popular pizza place on Old Steine) so you know you’re getting the real thing. We also had fries and these were wonderful. Great place to visit and there’s a guesthouse - Kempfield House Hotel - attached.

Amazing pub! Fantastic atmosphere and the staff are incredible. Zach and Victoria are great management. The bar staff on the night; Sophie was hilarious and Ben was gorgeous and charming. We visited on a Saturday night when there was a DJ (Gareth) who was outstanding! So much so I bought him two drinks to thank him for the awesome tunes! This is definitely one of my favourite pubs and we will DEFINITELY be going back again and again!

It seemed very fun and nice to start with. Good atmosphere, good music, good beer. But then, one of the staff was very aggressive towards me and a started a fight for no reason, so me and my partner left before finishing our drinks. I was polite to him and he was aggressive back, no way to treat a fellow human. Disappointed.

Always end up here for a late drink when in Brighton. It's a long, skinny bar. They always have music, often live. There was a huge arch of balloons this Easter too.Very friendly warm staff. Serve neck oil and have lots of alcohol choice.Toilets down long staircase. Wouldn't be easy with mobility problems. And boys toilets don't smell great.Ladies are clean.Dogs are welcome here.

Came across this charming pub on a cold Monday night in Brighton while on a business trip . Lovely landlord and landlady , so friendly and kind . I came in late at 10.30 pm the pub was quiet busy with nearly every table full . They were still serving food and as I was quite hungry I ordered a pizza , delicious, fresh and tasty. Toilets supper clean and fresh flowers on the bar . What a fantastic local pub I discovered this evening.
