Nice food but it was like lunch in the Antarctic - please Morrisons stop blasting your cafe customers with icy air conditioning!

Morrisons have changed the franchise to Market Street. They are excellent I had the nicest Fish and Chips for very many years. So if you have tried and hated Morrisons cafe in the past give it another try. The menu is bigger than Crowborough Waitrose which is quite modest (but very good as always) now and in any case Crowborough does not seem to support any or many local cafe and tea shops any more. The Fish's texture was firm good quality and frozen from fresh. The chips were not the coated type but good old fashioned potatoes very nicely cooked. With peas were all good.

OK as far as Supermarket Cafes go Not very big plates of food and not the best quality ingredients used (Sausages etc seem like cheap ones) the cakes and sandwiches seem better and some of the cakes really are good but as Weatherspoons is only a few hundred metres away we rather go there

No hot food available, obviously having issues with staff etc…

Rude member of staff, which is a shame when the other staff are always so friendly.

Quick service, sausage looks a bit overdone but still tasted OK so can't really complain. Lots of choice of food, drinks and cakes , plenty of seats and food gets brought to your table

Breakfast was mediocre. Mostly tasteless and greasy. No free refills on drinks. Staff friendly and helpful but they can't make up for bland, watery eggs and fatty bacon.Overall, I wouldn't rush back. Lunch items may be nicer but for breakfast, the nearby Wetherspoons would be a safer bet.Update June 2022. Went back for the "Ultimate Breakfast" because there is very little choice in Crowborough. Everything is still dripping in grease and mostly overcooked. Price isn't bad, service is good but Wetherspoons is still miles better for food quality and they have free refills on tea/coffee.

This used to be a nice place to get something to eat but every time we have been since it reopened, there has never been hardly any cakes or sandwiches. You would have thought at 12.30 this would have been different but no. I was told that they are only doing baguettes now, no sandwiches - why not. I for one find baguettes too much and I am sure a lot of the regulars, being a little older, would say the same. I opted for a ham and cheese panini and when it came it, it was so greasy I could not lift it without it falling apart. Needless to sat, I returned it for a refund - it had clearly been microwaved with its plastic packing on - yuk!

Today the food was delicious, as always, and I love the new crockery. It's more like eating in a restaurant than a supermarket and the staff are so nice and friendly and helpful. Thank you, girls. PS love the new menu but glad jacket potatoes are back !
