“I found this place by accident, now I try to visit regularly as my trips south allow.
It is a truly family restaurant, running In the style of my student days in the 60’s .what memories.

It seems to be a family run traditional venue packed full of pensioners every lunchtime 12 till 2pm Wednesday through Saturday.
Are they are they all reliving their student days, like me!

“Best Chinese restaurant in Eastbourne. The food is always fresh, never greasy, delicious and hot! When ordering online they always read the notes should you need to tweak any items. Definitely worth giving this place a try....you won't regret it!

Vegetarian options: A great selection for vegetarians.

Dietary restrictions: Let them know if you would like something omitted from your meal and they are happy to oblige. I can't have mushrooms and they always leave them out.

Parking: Parking outside the parade of shops.

Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly items (and English things) on the menu. My Granddaughter has ASD and hates trying new things but she loves the chicken balls!

Wheelchair accessibility: No steps at the entrance...I think the door is wide enough for a wheelchair. There are no obstructions inside as it isn't an eat-in establishment.”

“First time ordering her, very rarely order Chinese as hard to find a decent one.
Food arrived in good time, hot and delicious. Not greasy and decent sized portions. Will definitely be ordering again ??”

I’ve eaten at Charlie Chan’s a few times now, and it never disappoints. The food is always fresh, hot, and full of flavour. The crispy duck is especially good – tender meat with perfectly crunchy skin. Staff are friendly and attentive, and service is quick even when they’re busy. Great portion sizes too – you really get value for money. One of the best Chinese takeaways/restaurants in Eastbourne. Highly recommend!”

“I’ve ordered won ton soup - usually was amazing, today also but the meat had veins and couldn’t chew it, tasted lovely but too chewy, had to spit out.
Chicken chow mein - big portion a lot of chicken, nice but … I can taste dirty pan like old burnt oil, my room smell like it now.
Hopefully it’s only today like that :) thanks”
