This fish and chip shop WAS defiantly the best in town. now it it one of the worst. I've been using this shop on a regular basis for over 20 years. I'm not sure if Chris and his wife Militsa have sold the business or retired. it is now run by her very rude brother(I think they are more interested in doing deliveries) on the plus side we have found on brilliant chip shop at the Rodmill estate. in the queue there last week. I got talking another customer who WAS a Dolphin customer

As regular customers you really let us down and we will not be returning as a result. Your standards have clearly dropped. Chips were over cooked and made with bruised potatoes? No batter on fish and really greasy!

Over priced, small chips and sausage £6 better chip shops in the area, last time I had fish and chips cost £14 and was very small for the money you pay avoid!!

Good fish and chips, not bad prices and friendly staff. Good seating area inside if don’t want to brave the seagulls down the beach.

Probably the best fish and chippy around. Fish battered and cooked to perfection right in front of me. Chips spot on.

Chips were a bit crunchy for my tastes, I prefer softer chips still it was nice food, bit of a small portion for the price but was satisfied

Excellent traditional fish and chip shop. Great service and friendly staff. We always come here when we stay in Eastbourne.

The fish & chips I ordered were well done, and was just the right portion. The order was for medium Cod and Chips, with two Gerkins and a can of Coke Zero. It was only around the corner from where I was staying, so it was just a short walk away.

The fish & chips themselves were lovely but the portion was so small, I didn't realise until I unwrapped them at the beach just hoe small the fish was, fir £12 it was incredibly disappointing, do not recommend

In my opinion this is the best fish and chips shop in Eastbourne and beyond. Tried it numerous times while visiting Eastbourne and the food is always fresh and tasty! Their cod protions are nicely sized and never oily (which happens a lot in other places). Also we are always served with politeness and a smile. Recommened!

Update:Now the seventh year we’ve done this and yet again our order was prepared on time and wrapped efficiently so we all knew who had what. Thank you Team Dolphin!!This is the second year we’ve had a large order from the Dolphin. We have a traditional family get together on the beach with fish and chips. The Dolphin have served us brilliantly re are usually 20-30 of us! The food is super hot and the fish is perfectly cooked and delicious with gorgeous fat chips. Love it!

I must say I never had a thinner and more crispy batter on a fish (could be more salty thats the only thing I could find wrong with it). Chips nice and crisp outside and mushy inside. Service would be perfect if I was asked for if I want a side od mushy peas or given napkins for my takeaway order.

Been visiting since travelling down to Eastbourne since about 2003 after working at a school nearby. We visit Eastbourne approximately 5 - 6 times a year and always finish the day here, mostly a take out so we can enjoy the sea views before our return drive to Orpington Kent.Never been disappointed ?
