Sunday roast was terrible the meat was like rubber. and people next to us said the same. We did mention it to the waitress all she said was she will tell her chef. Won't be going back.

I can see why this pub has so many good reviews. It's a little like stepping back a few years to an older pub. Not victorian, but 80's. That said, it is a very lovely place. A bit dated, but lovely.The staff are fabulous and could not be more hospitable, and genuinely wanting to look after you. In a way you don't tend to get with the pub chains.Lovely food too. Not gourmet but home cooked food that is good and hot. Plus, we sat by the radiator, which was on, and was very cosy.Recommended.

We had a Sunday lunch @ The Marine and fully enjoyed our experience. Pub is quite big and very busy (good sign) but lovely staff found space to accommodate us even without the booking.We had one of daily special (two plates of ribs slowly cooked in BBQ sauce with vegetables and chips). Food was fantastic, tasty and portion enormous (pls keep that in mind as we were not able to finish our meal) All very well priced (I wish I could try more from the menu) and wine list quite impressive over all great experience and highly recommended.
