The chef cutting the meat could not have gone any slower. The waitress had no idea how to keep a table of people happy. Spilling my drink and then just leaving us with a wet table. We had to request cutlery, we had to request napkins. No attempt to explain the menu. Rubbish. Avoid.

Arrived at approximately 6.30pm restaurant open till 9pm...told no more turkey... food cold... waited an age to be served once seated.. finished meal not asked once if meal was OK... plates finally removed still notcasked if meal was OK...not asked if we wanted dessert, more drinks or coffee... waited and waited to ask for bill, could of walked out without paying..went up to bar and queued to pay, told manager of poor service etc, she called \\\"wzitress\\\" over who initially called me a liar, then shrugged her shoulders said \\\"can't you see how busy it is\\\" when I replied \\\"oh wow!!!\\\" She turned to walk away and told me to \\\"SHUT UP\\\"\\nI looked at the manager who then apologised and took 20% off of the bill. I wished her luck trying to manager such an awful individual and walked out.... never ever again would I step foot I that hell hole...

just got back home from Peacehaven Stonehouse, great food reasonable price but the service was excellent.

This was a great end to a long walk. Get a ticket, go up and get your roast carvery and the drinks are there ready at the table for when you get back. Decent prices, great location and friendly staff. I recommend.

Visited The Peacehaven this afternoon. Eileen, our server was great.....really helpful and knowledgeable. I was given a QR code to leave a review, but couldn't see how to use it !!! The food was lovely and hot and there was a very good selection. Both Eileen and the carvery chef were very helpful to me as I have broken my wrist, so can only use one hand. A big thank you to both of them.

Had a nice bacon cheese burger and chips. Food was good and had a voucher code for half price. They do offers through out the week. My wife enjoyed the veggie burger.

I went for a Sunday carvery with my partner and a friend a week ago. It was an awful experience to say the least. The place looks dowdy and not very clean, carpets dirty and past their best. This however would have been overlooked if the food and service had been good, which has been our experience in the past. The queues for food were very long and did not seem to be moving. Eventually we realised this was because they were running a food delivery service and as the food was brought out service to the queue was halted frequently while the food was taken to fill the containers for delivery. This caused a long wait and there was no explanation or apology from the surly man serving the food. He was very unpleasant and served us some beef which was inedible. It was full of fat and sinew and made me feel sick to look at it. We told the young waitress, who was helpful and pleasant and she provided us with some turkey to replace the disgusting beef. The food was also cold when we eventually got back to,our table after all the waiting around. While we were eating we noticed the long queue of people looking more and more fed up. We could not wait to finish and get out of there. The veg and potatoes were ok. There was not enough staff employed to serve the tables and when we wanted to pay I went to the till to do so and was told to go and wait back at the table and a waitress would come to take payment. We waited for ages with nobody in sight and eventually we all got up to leave and the three of us waited by the til for a while and at last someone noticed and came to take payment. Overall the staff cooking and serving the food had an awful surly approach but the waitresses were pleasant and doing their best even though they were overworked. We said we would never go back because the whole experience was thoroughly unpleasant. They should have a different station to serve customers in the restaurant from the orders going out for delivery. It felt very disrespectful.

Took my son for dinner tonight and was served by the lovely Kirsty, so friendly and lovely to have service with a smile. Carvery was lovely, meat beautifully carved by Chef Adam, everything lovely and fresh. Great service. Will definitely be back! Thanks guys!

We went to the shoreham stone house tonight and staff from peacehaven had gone there to take over for one night and i wasn’t expecting much as shoreham isn’t normal great but I have to say tonight was amazing my family even had seconds and their plates were clean .. so I will be driving the 30 minutes to peacehaven in the future to have the head chef Matt cook the food and the lovely waitress Eileen is just so nice, thankyou

the food was amazing. all the staff had a welcoming friendly matter. the small chef carving was really helpful. changing me meat on the deck when we asked him to. all in all great service and good value for money.
