Pubs in Pevensey Bay

“There was a warm welcome from staff (and the log fire) on a wet and windy lunchtime family gathering. Our table at the back was a little cramped but, away from the bar area, provided a less noisy environment. The menu offered a good selection. The food - when it finally arrived - was attractively presented, in good quantity (especially the fish & chips), and was perfectly cooked, although the crunchy peas served with my gammon steak were perhaps just a little too al dente. The desserts, when they eventually arrived, were delicious; my rich double chocolate brownie, though small, would surely satisfy any hardened chocaholic. Overall my impressions on this first visit were generally favourable except for the serving delays (which were uncharacteristic according to my companions) and the prices which seemed a bit high considering that side orders of vegetables were needed as the mains were rather light on them.”
