What a hidden gem, and the cheesy chips are to die for, views amazing, sit outside in the sun or cool off inside with the deliciosly cool air conditioning.Vegetarian options: Vegan falafel - large portion, vegetarian pasta too.

We recently had the pleasure of stopping at a café for lunch while exploring the Seven Sisters Trail, and were delighted by the unexpectedly delicious comfort food we had! We all had mains, as well as a couple of starters. The jacket potato was absolutely scrumptious, as was the white bait! It was a truly enjoyable break from our adventure.

We held a 60th Wedding Anniversay Party on 5th August and it was excellent as shown by the star ratings. Everyone of the 46 present had a great time and said so! Our compliments and thanks go to all the staff who helped plan, and were present on the evening,

I booked the afternoon tea and was not disappointed. The staff were friendly and helpful and had put in a lot of effort. The table was laid with a cloth and teacups and looked lovely and welcoming. We were asked about any preferences, allergies etc. The tea was served in a teapot and replaced whenever we wished. The sandwiches (Salmon, Tuna, Cheese, Ham) were delicious and served with salad. There were hot scones and homemade sausage rolls too. There were many varieties of cakes with strawberries, Raspberries & Redcurrants in between. The whole experience was lovely and we thoroughly enjoyed it.

I came to the view with my family as it was recommended by many of my friends who come here regularly. As soon as i walked in me and my family were welcomed in by a blonde young lady who’s name was Caris/Cary’s (Not sure on the spelling) And a lovely lady called Candice. As busy as it was they gave us an option on two tables and we had a lovely view of the sea. The younger blonde waitress was very approachable and when my son who is younger felt nervous on asking where the toilets where she took him round and showed him. So very kind ! The food was so delicious and piping hot which you always love in a restaurant! And looked very delicious plated ! The lunch menu had lots of variety and many specials on too! Overall such a great experience and such friendly staff. Couldn’t give enough gratitude towards the staff.. especially the two who served us ?

All a bit sad and dated, get the twee sparkly lights over the bar. Service about the same. Smelly smokers don't care about letting stinky smoke come into building.

This really is an excellent location but the food choice is woeful as is the quality. Think 1970s cafe! A real pity as it could be so much better. I guess the place is run by the council as I cannot imagine a private business would make such a mess of it. You cannot even get a simple sandwich.

This is the second time that I have visited The View, unfortunately they were for a wake following a funeral. The first time was for my Sisters and it certainly has the wow factor with the stunning views, the buffet we ordered was exceptional and the service and staff, you could not fault. Yesterday's wake showed exactly the same level of service and care, sitting out taking in the views and sunshine was an added bonus.
