Gorgeous place and wonderful host. Went on a rainy day whilst also visiting Rye. Though we were the only visitor, Chantel was hugely welcoming and put the fire on in the cosy tasting rooms. The tasting menu had a great selection of sparkling and still of all grape variations. Dogs welcome. Hope to visit again in the sunshine! Thank you so much!

In love with the whole place: the hospitality, the sparkling wine, the picnic (mushroom and wild garlic crisps were a revelation!), the views, the decoration - the care that has gone into every feature - just a joy.(My partner and I stopped off mid-cycle pootle, and had the picnic with a couple of glasses of sparkling wine. Each element was so considered - gluggle jug, beautiful basket, tinned olives, yummy cheese... We went rolling down the hill back on our cycle very merry indeed.)

We stopped off at this vineyard when waking from Hastings to Rye and were super impressed. Incredibly warm hospitality - the hosts offered to fill up our water bottles, blankets and went through the wine list with us offering their suggestions and recommendations. The surroundings are stunning and we were able to sip our English sparkling wine overlooking the vines in the field below. The sparkling wine was one of the best I’ve tasted and we ended up leaving with 2 bottles of the cuvée to take back home. We will definitely be coming back and ordering more!

Wonderful afternoon spent at this beautiful vineyard! Professional service and very warm hosts who had a wealth of knowledge and answered all of our questions. The wine is delicious, especially the sparkling rose. We sat in these cute pods/ huts outside which blocked all the wind but had a window which perfectly framed the view of the vineyard.This was the highlight of our weekend trip and would definitely come back again!

We were lucky enough to visit Charles Palmer today on a short trip to Rye. What a gem of a find and not only a phenomenal presentation by Chantal but the wine is magnificent. We ended up leaving with a number of bottles as being a smaller vineyard we feel this is a wine our friends and family must try. Already looking forward to a future visit and contacting every distributor possible in Canada to help get a regular source of this great wine.

We went for a tour and tasting here and had an excellent couple of hours. We were given a detailed explanation of the family's vineyard and the different vines growing in each field and our host was very patient with our constant questioning. Moving on to the tasting room, we tried a variety of their wines whilst our host both explained the wine itself and talked us through the wine making process. Excellent English wines and a thoroughly enjoyable experience.

We brought our Dad here for a birthday treat, and it was glorious! We did the wine and cheese tasting experience and stuck around for a drink afterwards. The staff are all lovely, welcoming and made a big fuss of Dad. The vineyard is set in gorgeous grounds, the wine was excellent and the tasting itself was down to earth and unpretentious, and such good fun. Highly recommended!
Honestly the best wine tasting (actually wine & local cheese) we have experienced! Better than in Spain, Santorini and New Zealand. Great wines to boot! Highly recommended.
