Everything a good village pub should be. Good drink, great food and service with a smile. Only open Wednesday thro Sunday currently I think, but always worth a stop for lunch or dinner if in the Althorne or Burnham on Crouch area. ?????

Wife had 4 sausages,chips,peasand onion gravy. I had a plain cheese burger and chips. The burger was approx 3/4 of an inch thick and this was the best meal we had so far this week. The bar was very clean and the service was very good. The owner was very polite and curtious. Would go there again. Recommend a visit anytime.

Great wee family pub. Nice to see pubs not in one of these chains. Lovely food and drinks. Staff was very friendly. Large park on site is great. Would be nice to have actual menus to read rather than having to get up and look at a wall menu.
