Came with my kids for dinner as they have a Bouncy Castle and kids toys! The food was nice, really big burgers and you choose what sides you want. I had the pulled pork salad which was lovely and the kids get free ice cream with their meal. Good value for money, friendly staff and a family atmosphere. Will come again!

In all honesty a pretty disappointing experience from the start.We arrived and asked where we would like to sit. We requested outside. We were directed to go find a spot, decide what we want to eat and then come back to the bar to order our food and drinks.The only available tables had dirty glasses on that were not cleared away by staff from the previous customers, we had to do this ourselves.The food, was tasty but phenomenally over priced for what you get.My £18 brisket had to sit on the table going cold as the server hadn't provided knives and forks.The food came out in dribs and drabs after 30 mins.The service was friendly but absolutely no passion and it showed.Would I recommend, no I won't be spending good money on what we felt was substandard service most of all but the experience as a whole was just meh.Why bother, plenty of other places to try.

We ate here last night and have to say the food was amazing and the service was spot on helpful friendly couldn’t do enough! We were quite a large table of people but food was prompt hot and delicious. Great value for money highly recommend this hidden gem

My partner and I had a great evening at The Crown. The service from the waitress Sophie was first class, highly attentive and very friendly and professional. The food was absolutely delicious and great value for money. The atmosphere tonight was great - all in all a great experience, and look forward to going back to work my way through most of the menu ? Thanks for a very lovely evening

Came here for a meal with colleagues as we were staying at stanstead hotel. Food and service were beyond great and the wine was fantastic. Nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommend the chicken burger !

Sometimes you stumble upon a hidden gem... The Crown in Elsenham is a decent enough pub, but the big news is that right now it's the home of Willett's BBQ - and it's quite simply not to be missed. As a big fan of smoked meat, I couldn't help but try the BBQ Platter and it was nothing short of sensational: fall-off-the-bone ribs, sweet and soft pulled pork, lovely charred wings and the star of the show - gorgeously tender and flavoursome brisket. I needed a doggy bag to take home (the Platter could serve two!) but it was genuinely of the best bbq meals I've had this side of the Atlantic. Hopefully these guys will have their own restaurant soon - and when they do, I'll be there!

Normally I’m very pleased with the food at the crown but this time it was a disappointment. Mac n cheese was dry and tasteless, the lobster mac n cheese was served with watery crayfish, not lobster and Cajun chicken breast was dry… not great. Hope it was a one off, will be back to try more items of the menu.

Went for lunch with friends. We have 2 kids and them a baby; all made to feel very welcome, toys were provided for the kids to keep them amused. Kids meals very good value for money and adult food was delicious. Great choice of food on the menu. Service was fantastic. Couldn’t fault our visit :)

Foods quality 0 ! I order a Lasagna is come with corn and chips ( nothing fresh, you can see as well color for fries was almost black) Expenisve foods and 0 quality, i dont recommended if u go outside to eat,better to eat from tesco then this place.
