We held my daughter’s baby shower here in the upper outside area. Arrived early to put up some decorations and the staff were so very helpful. They offered to help and then popped out a few times to make sure we were ok and to see if we needed anything. We had pre-ordered a finger buffet a week earlier and the chef was very helpful in assisting with choice and advising on numbers to cater for. The food came out, there was plenty of it and it was well received by everyone! Would definitely recommend looking at The Monkhams as a venue! Thank you to all the staff who helped make the afternoon a success.

Not sure how a refurbishment can make a place go downhill but it has here. Went for evening meal with family and wont be back. The menu has been greatly reduced and very little if you want gluten free. I ordered fish and chips which resembled fish fingers, the mushroom chilli (one of 4 gluten free options) was cold, the lasagne was burnt and very dry, the mixed grill was just about ok but quite small.Green king need to get a grip and realise people will spend if getting value but I will not return until they do and wouldn’t recommend this place to anybody…

The place was fully refurbished. A lot better and more relaxing to dine. They minimized the menu and a lot easier to order. Ordered fish and chips but unfortunately the center of the fish (cod) part is cold and the mushy peas as well. Chips just right serving. I will try to come back again and order this (fish and chips) and give a chance for improvement,.Enjoyed and Finished a glass of guiness with partner.

If so, why not post that as well for a balanced view?Personally, I think team are great, and try their best to get to everyone, but they aren’t going to roll the carpet out and let people queue jump just because they feel special enough to be served before anyone else.Anyway well done “Cutie” Lucy, “Stresshead” Luke, Dollar Bill, Kylo Ren, “Karlito the blind”, Holly the Dolly, Jon (even Ryan!) and the rest, don’t let the luns get you down!
