We visited for dinner as we stayed in a hotel nearby for a wedding following day. The staff who met us soon walked in was so kind and professional, food was delicious and it looked like a lovely pub.Highly recommend to anyone who hasn't been here or staying at the hotel nearby. Will definitely return to this nice pub if I am in the area in the near future.

We visited for dinner as we stayed in a hotel nearby. The food was delicious and it looked like a lovely pub with loads of seating inside and outside. If we lived locally we would be visiting all the time. It looked like a popular pub as we had to wait for a parking spot.

Good pub. Good menu selection, lovely big beer garden, very friendly, helpful staff. Would definately come back here again. Proper good English Pub. Very nice cider on tap too! Thank you.

Reasonable pub food and good atmosphere but the prices are that of restaurant prices so you would expect those standards. £20 for rump steak you would expect to be as good as a restaurant and cooked how you asked but it was neither. So my overall rating is just average at best I’m afraid

Visited for Father’s Day for Sunday lunch - food and service absolutely excellent. New to the area and thrilled this place is only half a mile walk away. Will definitely be back again.

I think the quality of the food is very poor, the last couple of times I have visited I have not enjoyed my meal.

The car park was full and there was a good atmosphere coming from outside, so we were in good spirits going in. The building is lovely and they let dogs inside which again is a massive plus. The staff seated us and came over to get a drinks order, everything seemed as you would expect. Then we tried to order food. I ordered some falafel to start, but they'd run out. My partner ordered some mussels, but they'd run out. My father in law ordered some lamb, but they'd run out. I appreciate pubs want a varied menu, but if you can't get the stock in why advertise it. Once we'd eventually found 4 items that were in stock, we ordered and had our food delivered. My father in law got dry chicken in ketchup with a lump of mashed potato from a 1990s school dinner. My mother in law got a burger that was incredibly dry and clearly had been sat under the hot lamp for ages. And I ordered a dairy free pizza that came with normal mozzarella cheese on it. When i said it's normal mozzarella I was assured it's dairy free. Now as I've been on a dairy free diet for 2 years now, I know what vegan cheese tastes like..... It's not great. So either the angel and harp has developed vegan cheese indistinguishable from regular cheese.....or they lied to me. My gut tells me they lied.... as it's in agony and not to lower the tone too much but I am toilet bound and likely to be for some time. Hopefully when I finally leave the bathroom the angel and harp has a new catering team!In summary the serving staff were pleasant, the decor is nice and the atmosphere is good. The food is just rubbish. For The amount you pay it should be of a decent standard, but it was woeful. I shan't be coming back or recommending it to others.

Terrible frozen chips (what happened to real potatoes?) The most feeble, 'so called' Ciabatta with no substance...and how did you manage to make prawns in Marie Rose sauce completely tasteless? All this and with a relatively high price tag. Get a grip!! The only saving grace that the service was good.

Excellent meal with family for Father’s Day, roasts were amazing and good selection of deserts - our waitress ‘Emma’ was fab and really looked after us. Recommended !!

Terrible food every single time…it’s our local pub so we try to come here once in a while and every single time it’s rather disappointing… the food has gone from bad to worse and at £18 per main course you might as well go to Square One on the high street - where not only the service is impeccable but the food is exceptional. After paying my bill in full I though I’ll leave some feedback (as no one bothered asking ask whilst we ate). Unfortunately instead of acknowledging it, the staff started to argue how good it was and how it was me that clearly had no clue…. Perhaps customer service isn’t their first vocation…

Nice enough, staff all looked very uninterested and not very attentive. Drinks weren't expensive and the BBQ food was nice. The place looked a little messy and untidy with a lot of litter outside but not enough to to put you off. Live entertainment singer was good. From my experience I probably wouldn't rush to go back. I much prefer their sister pub The Axe And Compass. Much nicer staff, nicer environment, a better experience all round.

Food came very quickly, and was very tasty. Staff were friendly and attentive, but left you alone, once the food had been served. All in all a lovely lunch.
