We have always loved this restaurant but went a few weeks ago and were frankly very disappointed. When we got there they appeared to have jammed more tables into the restaurant and we were shown to a table where I could not actually get into the seat as it was so close to the next table.We were moved to a different table though. The food on this occasion was really disappointing, particularly the main courses. I and a friend had veal milanese. When it came up it was dry , thin and the meat was like leather.Neither of us finished it. The liver which my wife and a friend had was equally disappointing. All include shall not be rushing back for another meal there any time soon sadly.

I went here for a birthday lunch with 14 other ladies. We all agree that it was great food and the staff are very friendly. Genuine authentic Italian dishes . A winner ! I will be back.

Love Il Bacio. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff, great food (big portions!). Good drinks. What more can you ask for. It good for couples, families with younger or older children. Everyone should come here.

Visited on a Saturday night with a party of 10. Restaurant gave a booking time of 8pm (second sitting) Seated by 8.05pm and ordered by 8.30pm We sat patiently waiting while noticing that every other table received their orders (all seated after us). Each time we asked for our order the waiter told us it would be 5 to 10 minutes. Our food eventually arrived at 9.40. One plate served with ice cold vegetables, sea food platters did not contain the shellfish listed on menu. The manager was extremely unhelpful, trying to justify long delay with excuses that "we all ordered different meals' A reduction was made to the final bill. However this does not excuse the bad service or argumentative manager. I have visited this restaurant several times but will not return. No apology offered and food average. If a table of 10 is too large don't take the booking!

Food was ok,, the service diabolical to say the least,, rude waiters. Never been spoken to by a waiter like this before. Never go back again. Avoid this place and spend your money elsewhere!!!

The food was average Italian fayre and was pleasant enough, however, I will never return to this restaurant as the way the owner treats his staff is completely unacceptable. There was a lovely young waitress trying her best but the way she was shouted at and humiliated In front of a dining room full of people is not something I ever wish to witness again and left a bitter taste. This business needs to do some serious work on their people skills and is not a place I will be spending my hard earned money.

We booked a big table and they really handled us well. The food arrived on time, starters and mains were great and the servive was very good. I had the Napoli pizza and it was very tasty, warm and nice and salty. Everyone enjoyed their meal and enjoyed each other's company after such a long time of no staff dinners due to restrictions.

Went here on Saturday after a lovely walk. We had a lovey time. The food was really lovely and the staff were too, especially Stefano, really friendly and a pleasure to have met. We do not live in the area, but will definitely be back.

This restaurant has always had questionable service but good food but service standards continue to reduce which now outweighs the v good standard of food. So we booked via Quandoo and arrive on time to be faced with a queue at the door consisting of people who have not booked awaiting tables and a couple in front stating that they had a telephone booking and are not being believed by the waiter. My showing the e mail confirmation to the waiter has little impact with a outcome of 15 mins wait to be seated. When we finally access the restaurant , it is obvious from viewing tables that there are many awaiting food with few in course of eating . We are not seated but placed without a apology on 2 stools adjacent to the bar . No apologies , no drinks offered just a obvious confusion. The people who were in front of queue who had neither a booking and the other couple a questionable booking were seated . So in essence they had been prioritised over a confirmed documented booking. We were eventually seated 25 minutes after our allotted confirmation time . The table was not prepared , no napkins at either outset or throughout meal. It was obvious they were understaffed . There was no sight of the aged senior waiter who I presume is owner and caous prevailed . Tables were still awaiting some form of food. 15 minutes lapsed before a very hassled waiter took a drinks order , and a further 10 minutes before food order. We were now approx an hour after our allocated booking time. It was obvious our mains were going to be v delayed so we opted for some garlic bread to tied us over. Not our preffered choice but we were now v hungry and with the obvious delays we were going to encounter in getting our main , we needed something . Garlic bread came in a acceptable time and we filled up with at least this to tied us over. Surprise surprise mains took a further 30 mins , food was lovely but yep we had filled up on a starter to tied us over , so neither party finished their lovely meal. No appetite for our usual much craved desserts we opted for drinks , the aperitif which usually actually accompanies the bill and our hoped for departure. 20 minutes later the bill , my debit card and the 2 of us remained on the table whilst one of the waiters on a adjacent table was showing the table on his phone photos of whatever, finally he sighted my increasing frustration , offered us a further complimentary amaretto and we departed . I reluctantly left a reduced tip to acknowledge the quality of food . We have been frequenting this restaurant for app 4 yrs. the food is excellent and we have always made allowances for the service but following last nights all time low no more. They have lost a loyal regular customer who will now travel to La Baita in Chingford . Little more to be said

Chose this restaurant from the reviews for a family meal and we were not disappointed ! The restaurant is charming with plenty of ambiance and the food was plentiful, fabulous and authentic, well worth the money and not overpriced. The only downfall is that I live in Bedfordshire and this was a central meeting place but given the opportunity I will certainly go there again. Highly recommend !
