Typical and still open local pub in Essex village. The landlady is very welcoming and accommodating, ensuring that excellent food is served even to the vegetarians. With our nachos, they found us Tingley Ted's spicy sauce, and my friends from the USA were wowed. Enjoy while it's still there also a venue for Scooter ClubVegetarian options: Nachos Garlic bread with cheese

A lovely lunch with family - good home-cooked food, big portions and friendly staff. They're very dog friendly too.

We stayed in the car park in our motorhome for free if you eat there. The food was basic pub grub but nice, hot and well cooked. My husband had the homemade meat pie and ate all of it which is unusual because he is a very fussy eater.

Local pub with a vegan burger option that was served in a baguette. Great portion of nicely done chips, with a good side salad.Dietary restrictions: Great to have the vegan burger option. Could be interesting to see another vegan dish.

My friends and I use this pub on a regular basis to catch up without the hassle of cooking. What a great place. Polite, friendly and efficient bar staff/waiter/ess service, great grub that veers away from the usual 'pub grub' ( toast the chef), wine at reasonable prices, nice atmosphere and whats even better - you don't twinge or cringe when the bill materialises. Thanks for some great evenings so far and some to come.

What a lovely little Pub in Coopersale, Epping. Enjoy some great food and selection of beers. We had walked around Epping and through the lower forest up into Coopersale and called in for a beer, as food was still being served, ordered a roast dinner and lamb shank. Great service, friendly atmosphere. Recommended if you passing by.

Friendly customers. Miserable lady serving on bar. Food nice. No tea or coffee as lady too busy to make it. Annoying for a non drinker.

We went for lunch with friends. Service was good but unfortunately the food didn't live up to the same standard. All I can say it was just ok. Nothing special. Our friends who are regulars there said it must have been the chef's day off.
