The last time I was in this pub was in 1974 when I lived and worked on Hobbs Cross Farm.Any way I was visiting my parents grave in Epping with my brother.We decided to have lunch here and the staff were really friendly, the service was excellent and the food great.Next time we are down will definitely be back, thank you ??

My colleague at work invited me for a country walk and Sunday pub roast, and being from Australia I couldn't have had a better experience at the Theydon Oak in Epping. The Sunday roast was delicious, great portion and value for money. The pub itself was quintessentially British and a great country pub for every occasion with the loveliest staff. Would recommend to any local or visiting patron.Vegetarian options: Vegetarian Sunday Roast was delicious.

Awful expensive experience. The pub was very cold, and I don’t feel the cold! The food was cold, the beer very expensive . ^£25 for 3 pints and a glass of wine. It’s no wonder why the place was deserted. Food not even average. Will not be using again.

Went in with a table of 12 including kids. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was good and the kids loved the playground. A great village pub.
