Attended a birthday celebration, the 12 of us each ordered a 3 course meal of the starters for 3 of us was so cold it was sent straight back. We then waited 40 minutes for the table to be cleared for the main course of which all was fine. We then waited 1/2 hour for our main course to be cleared before our desserts came out. All good.Our observations for our stay. We were upstairs and only 2 waiters were serving (both of whom were excellent). The bar staff of 1 was inundated with dirty glasses on the bar area and seemed in no hurry to clear them. Then you had the Just Eat take out guy - very busy - 6 big full bags of food he had packed and I hope their starters were hot! The table next to us was for 2 and when they left their table was not cleared for 50 minutes and table where diners had left was left uncleared for 40 minutes.In all my 8 years of dining at Miller & Carter Lakeside I have never been so disappointed. I can honestly say I will not be rushing back (like I always do for our celebrations during the year) any time soon. I have always found Miller & Carter to be the "top" of our go to place. It is a sad day.

Our waitress Michaela did a great job, nothing was to much trouble .
The only thing I would say is you wait a while from front of house to acknowledge you on arrival .

We just had a lovely meal at Lakeside.Alison was such a welcoming waitress and ensured she checked to see if we needed anything . Food was amazing and served quickly . All our steak dishes were incredible.Tables were cleared away quickly . Manager at the door who booked us in ( can’t remember her name ) was very nice too. We were 8 guests and we all had a great time

I’ve experienced lots of dining at Miller and Carter at Lakeside.But this restaurant was very disappointing.To start with we were given a terrible table. We ordered our Long Island ice tea. But tasted like Little no alcohol we complained. and all that was added was extra lemon. No alcohol to which we complained again and drinks were re made. We ordered the butchers block. All steaks onion loaf and sauces were served stone cold. They offered to cook our food once again. But by this point we decided to leave. We had been shopping all day. And was looking forward to our evening meal. And was very disappointed and left hungry. Shame as we live so close. But will never return ???

We dined at Miller and Carter Lakeside this evening for a family meal. We all thoroughly enjoyed our food and the experience was made even better by our waiter Ryan who was really friendly and efficient. It was our first time here and we will definitely be back.

Went on a Sunday for family dinner. Ordered from the Sunday set menu which was 3 courses. Drinks extra. Food was good and cooked to our requirements.Attentive staff. Overall a nice meal out and we would go again.

The food was ok the chips were over cooked big time very black the steak was nice lo took my Mum but she wasn’t that keen either. The waitress was lovely she seem very happy with the tip I gave her but I wouldn’t go again .
