We visit for lunch regularly and usually enjoy our meal. Unfortunately today we had a rather poor experience. Ordered the warm chicken, bacon and avocado salad and presentation was good - apart from the balsamic dressing dribbled all around the rim of the soup plate which smeared on cutlery and hands every time you took a mouthful. The chicken was plentiful but dry, hard and flavourless and goodness only knows when the bacon was originally cooked but it was totally dried out and impossible to cut with a knife! Picking it up and attempting to bite it proved equally impossible. Left on the plate next to the chicken. The staff were all so busy it wasn’t possible to pass on our comments to them so we left without saying anything.

Had the misfortune to lunch here to-day around 12.30. I can only say it was a triumph of quanity over quality -the beef burger were not just tasteless but what taste they had was nothing like the taste of burger the rest made up of bulk.

We visited on Saturday so it was quite busy and waited around 30 minutes for breakfast. Not end of the world as most of our dishes (eggs benedict) were lovely. However, your spicy eggs on a flatbread was big disappointment. Sprinkling some chilli flakes on fried eggs and adding that on a dry flatbread doesn't make a nice meal, even if it had some tomatoes and avocado on it.The constant peeping is also quite annoying and doesn't create great atmosphere.
Usually love it here but left dissapointed today.Too much beeping from the pagers. Food was not great, ciabatta was burnt around the edges, minimal bacon and cheese, use to have crisps aswell as salad as a garish and for the price £9.95 you definitely expect more and better quality.Won't be going again in a hurry, real shame.

Main meal food is always en point - imho, the size of main meals is so large I always take half away (they never quibble abt giving you a container) for evening meal or lunch next day. LOTS of gluten free options - including yummy cake; tho I'm sad to say that the GF cakes are now kept in the same cooler/ serving area as gluten containing cakes, so I'll not touch with a barge pole! Shame, they used to be on display separately; something simple enough to reinstate....It's a lovely place to visit; a bit noisy inside (for me) but the annex 'shed' is cool as is the covered outdoor area.Food- would have got a 5 star if they reverted to keeping GF food apart from food with gluten.Service- would also have got a 5 star if they opened on Sundays (as they did pre COVID)Atmosphere - I'm sure in reality it's a 5 star; post COVID... I'm just noise sensitive.Do visit - it's well worth it!!

The food is amazing and the shop has lots of unusual goodies. However, I’m sorry to say, the ladies toilets leave a lot to be desired. Need more regular cleaning.

Haven't been here for a very long time, we were passing so we thought we would stop for a snack. Too late for breakfast didn't want lunch so settled for coffee and a scone. Coffee was nice although quite strong scone itself was lovely and a good size, we expected it to be warm but unfortunately not. It came with 2 butter pats and what tasted like homemade jam as well as cream. The pots for the jam and cream were tiny, not small but really tiny. I would estimate about a large teaspoon full. Barely enough for just one half of our scone which we felt was on the mean side. There was a chalk board with sandwiches etc and the quiche looked and smelt nice. We will go again to sample something else on the menu hopefully we won't be disappointed next time.
