Very busy, but the food was delicious and prompt, however there did seem to be a shortage of staff at the bar for drinks and orders so there was a bit of a wait the staff were so friendly and helpful though. Visited for our daughters 30th burthday. No staff member at door on arrival & so we waited a fair while to be seated. Time of our booking recorded wrong in book but luckily a table for 8 of us available. My roast dinner arrived without gravy jug. Had to queue considerable amount of time to pay as only 1 person serving. Having given staff member birthday cake to serve after eating meal decided as not allowed for it to be served with sparkling candles we'd take it home to serve, after being told someone would fetch it again waited a considerable time before we asked someone else for it. Food as expected from a Hungry Horse - just ok. Service non existent. Wait time unacceptable. Will not be returning

You have to know when you visit that this isn't table service. It's a cheap and cheerful enough place and it serves good grub for a good price. We visit monthly because clubcard vouchers take a lot of the food cost off. Waiting staff are friendly, even when under pressure. On our last visit, a fellow diner decided to change their child's nappy in the restaurant and staff didn't (to my knowledge) say anything to the diner. However, the majority of the time it's pleasant.Parking: Fairly large spaces which is unusual!

Booked a table for a 30th birthday treat, the restaurant had encountered a serious unforeseen problem completely out of the staffs hands which put them under immense pressure to be able to run the restaurant in the usual normal way. Considering they had to impromptu close the kitchen before the rest of my guests arrived for the birthday dinner meant we couldn't have anything to eat. The amazing efforts from Ashlea and Zoe to try to remedy this disaster saved the day, they were able to offer us various platters an sharers so we could at least eat something rather than have to leave soon after the rest of my guests arrived. All in all the birthday girl and us all had an amazing time. Always have had a great service when going there and seeing how the staff managed this huge problem was quite something which we so very much appreciated. Top 5 stars and without a doubt I would easily recommend this place. Thankyou very much ladies you were a couple of stars.

Excellent food great value for money ? also good selection of beers, I recommend you book especially at weekends, pub interior is a bit tired and so is the outside but hey you can't have it all ways..... Recommended.
This is the second visit in a month. The staff are absolutely amazing. This is a cheap place to eat, portions are large, food has been hot and fresh. But really customer service is better than most expensive restaurants in the area. The team should be so proud of the service they provide.
