Came over for a pop up Caribbean food stall and it was awesome.Coupled with a lovely Guinness and I’m very happy to come again.

Great little village pub in a beautiful location and it was hilarious when the conversation died as we walked in but everyone was friendly and the staff shared the joke

Just how a country pub should be!Friendly staff, great atmosphere and brilliant selection of pop up food trucks - can't wait for the kitchen to open. Great value for money with a good selection of beers, wines and spirits.

Lovely new ladies running the pub, had a great few nights at bingo and quiz night, lovely family and community feeling every time you go in the pub, it's good to see it back to its best

Outstanding pint of Guinness!Called in for a quick drink at this lovely pub in a beautiful village.A great selection of beer, lager cider and spirits to suit everyone’s taste and the prices were more than reasonable. The Guinness……could this be the best pint of Guinness in Essex?A great pint of Guinness, served in a new style clean glass using a two part pour method; a very creamy pint indeed. The only tap available was extra cold but it was needed on this warm late summer afternoon.
Love this pub, went there for the first time yesterday and had a lovely meal. Service was 10/10

Only just re-opened, no food available yet at time of writing. But if is anything like.the atmosphere and service I'm sure it will be wonderful! Spacious garden and cozy interior. Lovely staff to boot.Maybe should have kept the sware jar above the fireplace though for the obvious jokes.
