Definitely a hidden gem. The best food that I have had in a long time! And the service is definitely 5 star, they couldn’t have been anymore helpful and so friendly. All topped off with the best view! We are definitely going to be regulars!

Great Sunday carvery, people are lovely and really helpful. We were a party of 18 and the service was really quick. Really enjoyed our meal and will definitely be going back. Thank you very much.Kid-friendliness: Great place for kids.Wheelchair accessibility: Mum was In a wheelchair and was not a problem. Ramp at main door and plenty of room.

Fantastic night for my surprise 30th birthday party. The staff were polite and cheerful and the whole weekend was just amazing. Stayed in the annexe and what a lovely place and well looked after. This family run business will be recommended by myself and my family and friends. Will be back soon that is for sure.

Had a lovely Sunday roast here for £10.50 a head. Great value, plenty of food! My cousin said the breakfasts are good here as well. In the summer you can sit outside & look out over the lake. Nice friendly staff as well.
Went for a carvery today, and it was great. Will definitely be going back.

I visited Apple Tree this morning with my swimming group. We regularly swim in the lake and thought we would have a group Christmas breakfast. We were not disappointed. I am a fussy eater and often find it tricky to get breakfast options I really enjoy, usually ending up with a disappointing egg on toast. At Apple Tree there are numerous options and you are also able to pick your own items from an extensive choice. The food was delicious, not at all greasy and well worth the £5.95 I paid. (I was so excited to have fried bread for the first time in many years!) The staff were friendly and efficient, the service was fast and the view of the lake is very pleasant. I would definitely recommend and intend to return - maybe the Sunday roast next time...?

Came here for Sunday lunch, we were made very welcome. Very reasonably priced, the food was delicious and plentiful. All the staff were lovely and very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Would be a great place to visit over the summer with views over the lake. We will definitely be returning and very soon.Parking: Parking was tight but enough room if everyone parks sensibly
