if you are looking for good food and friendly staff DO NOT GO TO MORRISONS CAFE IN HARWICH ESSEX I have never been to an eaterie where I have come across such a staff as this place they are miserable you never get a smile of thank you and it's a feeling when you walk in of WHAT DO YOU WANT. ! there are many offers in place but when you get your food you can understand why they are giving offers many times the offer KIDS EAT FREE ! when you get it you understand why it is disgusting the breakfast is sad the eggs are transparent the bacon is like cardboard the beans have been overcooked and warmed up so many times they are just a mass ! and the fried tomato is just one half the fried bread is always the end of the loaf waste not want not ! it is the same with most of the cooked food don't have the sausages miniature torpedoes !! and the seating area has more food on the floor than on the plate. This could be a nice eaterie with some loving care but it does not get it this it is not

I paid an early visit to the supermarket and decided to have a full breakfast before shopping. Although it was still fairly early morning the cafe was spotlessly clean and tidy, the tables were all clear (it is no longer self-clearing) and cleaned. My food was freshly cooked, very well presented and served to my table by a very friendly member of staff, the service was very quick. It was the first time I had visited the restaurant since reopening following Covid but it will certainly not be the last. I was totally satisfied with all aspects. I did notice that all tables are numbered wih a QR code so in future I will find my table, scan the code and order and pay for my food at the table, thereby avoiding the need to form part of any queue. Value for money? 10/10

We waited 25 minutes for a full English breakfast. People arriving after us got served and we're then told it was going to be another 30 minutes. We were only offered a refund not a drink or an apology. Felt sorry for the till girl who didn't know why service was so bad.

We both chose the full breakfast. It arrived promptly, well presented, and hot. The lady on the checkout and the lady who brought our food were both very helpful and friendly. We will certainly come again.

Most main meals are microwaved, sometimes the wait time is so long that you could go round the shop, buy the food you want, go home and cook it and start eating it before they bring your food too you. I stopped eating here when they changed the furniture. The seats do nothing for your back. All hard seats. Makes my back hurt and I like to be comfy when I eat.
Breakfast was really nice, but most food is microwaved, but it is what you would expect, and it's not bad for what you pay

Good system to avoid queing with tables allocated as you arrive. One person goes to order with distancing in the queue. Food, cutlery, condiments all brought to your tables. Tables cleared by staff & cleaned. All waiting staff wearing visors. Oder point behind screen. On top if that food very good. Well done!

I had breakfast here on two morning while staying locally. Food cooked to order. Staff polite, friendly and very efficient. Cafe bright and spacious. Excellent value for money.
