Had lunch here with my partner the other day. A few of the options on the hot lunch menu were not available which was dissapointing as it wasn't a large lunch menu (this to be honest is a good sign as it shows what is offered is fresh). We both ordered the cheese quiche with salad (you can chose either 1 or 2 salads - they weren't big - more of just a dressing really - my 2 'salads' were green salad and couscous). With my lunch I had an apple juice which was lovely. When the lunch came to the table, it wasn't as big as expected and unfortunately I left still rather peckish. For just over £10 for one lunch I'd have wanted a bit of a bigger portion. However the quality and taste of the food was super. The servers were friendly. Unfortunately the table we sat down at hadn't been cleaned down but probably just a one off oversight. It happens! The cake looks good so I'll be back for some of that and a coffee!

Painstakingly but consciously leaving this review. First off - coffee and cakes are pretty good here. I won’t lie about that. However, with my eco-hat on: For a cafe that have enough seating for around 15 people, they cannot (or should not) claim that they don’t really focus on “staying in customers”… and as such, if they are catering for those customers, they should definitely NOT be serving them with disposable coffee cups (recyclable or not)!! Such a waste when crockery would be so much better! Thankfully I actually had my reusable cups with me anyway to save my own conscience. I’m afraid that’s enough for me to boycott Seven South Street until that policy changes.

Only 3 stars - Don't get me wrong the food was great, I had tomato & lentil soup it as awesome but at £6.50 somewhat pricey! Coffee was good. Carrot cake was also lovely but again pricey for the size of the portion. So make sure you have deep pockets before venturing inside.A major problem is the set up in there it is so cramped you can hardly move! A huge table in the middle of the shop selling plates & candles?Half way through my soup the shop door was opened by staff (It was pouring with rain & windy outside!) due to the shop steaming up!! It was freezing as I was sitting right near the door! For heaven's sake please invest in an extractor fan!Shame as we'd gone there based on reviews and we left feeling disappointed.

At the point of writing this review, the location is not quite right on Google mapss. The cafe is on the south east corner of south street and high street. This place is such a gem! The coffee is fantastic, the cakes and lunches are absolute top! The staff are really friendly too. This place would be outstanding in any cosmopolitan city i ever lived in, so feel so fortunate to have it just around the corner.
