Had to be in Benfleet for a 7pm meeting, traveling from London, so best option: leave early and eat in town. So glad we chose this Chippy for dinner. Best fish and chips we've had in a while. Medium fish and chips was MASSIVE! I couldn't finish all of my chips there were so many, and the medium fish was a large anywhere else.For a Monday evening, this place was non stop foot traffic. We ate in, as we didn't want to sit in the car, and there must have been 25 orders in the time we were there.Seating isn't great but suppose most people get it to go.Definitely adding this place to my favourites list for when we're in the area again.

Our Camera club ordered fish and chips for a Xmas social . It was delivered on time and piping hot. The club members commented on the good quality and generous portions . Thanks for a great service .

What a great fish and chip shop. My family and I, have now had 2 takeaways from Howard's over the last 3 weeks sampling the ribs, roasted chicken, cod, cod bites, savaloy, meat pies and chips. All were very good. A special mention for the chips as I think they are the best chip shop chips I have ever tasted. Both times I have visited on a Saturday, early evening, the queues have been quite long, but I presume this is because they are providing excellent quality and quantity. I for one do not mind a short wait for a 1st class takeaway.
