We had a fantastic evening at Maharaja Indian Restaurant. Sam looked after me and my partner and was so attentive and friendly throughout. The food was absolutely delicious — highly recommend the Pasanda, Jalfreze, and the Mixed Grill! Everything was reasonably priced, and the beautiful décor made the atmosphere even better. We’ll definitely be coming back!

“I know we shouldn't have favourites...but this is THE BEST restaurant, the staff are friendly and attentive, the food is fabulous and authentic, my daughter loves the curry disco and my son loves the all you can eat buffet, what more can you ask for? - happy all round. We celebrated my mum’s birthday here recently, and they couldn’t have been more accommodating — they gave us a lovely large area which was absolutely perfect for the occasion. I even forgot to bring a candle and lighter for the cake but the staff happily sorted it promptly. Honestly, it’s that kind of thoughtful service that keeps us coming back.”

“This restaurant always exceeds expectations. Nothing is too much trouble and the food is amazing - the best in the area easily. We have returned to the area in the last year and tried other local Indian restaurants but this wins hands down. The chef is always happy to create something unique for us if we cannot devide what to have.We are now regulars for both takeaways and eating in. “I have eaten in many a Indians restaurants and had loads of takeaways.
But for a great night you could not ask for a better British indian restaurant. The staff allwas remember you and make you feel so welcome. The food is always on point, and I have spent far way more on inferior food.
It's old and dated, but it's clean and tidy”

“After reading the reviews on this restaurant. I decided to take my wife here to celebrate our 47th Wedding anniversary. From the moment we walked in. I knew that I had picked the right restaurant. I was met by a lovely waitress who showed us to our seat. We also had a very charming waiter who took our drinks order. We started off with poppadoms and chutney, which were lovely and crisp and a nice verity of chutneys. Followed by a prawn puree for myself. It was very good with a lovely freshly made puree with prawns in nice sauce. Which was so large, it was enough to share. Our mains, as there was so much to choose from the menu. We settled for a main mushroom bhaji, chicken Tika curry, large pilau rice and a pishwari nan and butter nan. All the dishes were exceptional good. The flavours of both the mushroom bhaji and Chicken Tika curry, complemented each other. The pilau rice, was light and fragrance. The service was extremely good, efficient and professional. This is something you would expect from a very well established restaurant such as this one. All in all it made our celebrations of our 47th Wedding anniversary a night to remember. Thank you!!. I have no hesitation in recommending this as must visit to enjoy good quality Indian food.

Parking: There is a pay and display car park within 5 minutes walking distance. With disabled parking.

“The Amala is a great find, the staff are great and a clean, cozy atmosphere ,
The food is very good and fragrant with a very good ballance of spices, I didn't give max star for food as one of the dishes was a tad on the cool side .
The menu was an all you can eat type menu, my wife and I just had a small sharing meal, still this was a fantastic value for money ,
I can say I would come back again, was lovely food at very good price”

I've eaten at a number of restaurants in the region, but this one is definitely right among the best. The venue is lovely, so I recommend you go eat in-house. Try the Lamb Pasanda and you'll keep coming back. Thanks for the great service and fantastic food!
