This restaurant is highly recommended.Visited for a last minute night out and it was amazing.Food was lovely, fresh and full of flavour.Staff were kind and attentive. Especially Winnie, we had some lovely conversations with her.If you are looking for an authentic Malaysian cuisine that is local and fairly priced then this is the place to go.

The food here is absolutely incredible. Every dish is bursting with flavour and cooked to perfection, always so hot and fresh. Staff are always so friendly, attentive and welcoming. Hands down, my favourite restaurant!! Portion sizes are also great and can choose how spicy you’d like your dishes. A must try or you’re missing out!!!

Was very lovely. Went for my birthday and they gave me a complimentary birthday cheescake at the end (luckily I didn't order dessert!). Very accommodating. Felt quite rushed at the end but also understandable as they had a queue of people waiting for their 8pm sitting.Side note: Barely any parking, have to resort to parking near people houses!

Visited The Malaya last night for my husband and our friends’ birthdays. From the minute we set foot inside we were greeted by a lovely smiley lady (Malaysian) snd taken to our table - the atmosphere was buzzing and we ordered the set tasting menu £30pp - all of the food we had was absolutely delicious & hot !! Our waitresses looked after us so well - always made sure we had a drink - cleaning our table after each course - generally asking us if all was ok and all with a lovely friendly smile - excellent in all respects! Thank you for looking after us all so well - we will definitely revisit xx

I cannot recommend this place enough!I booked this restaurant to take my partner to a surprise meal for our anniversary, we had cocktails ready for when we arrived which was pre ordered and a great touch to make the visit that bit more special, nothing was too much for the staff, they we’re very attentive throughout the visit and the food/cocktails we’re unbelievable!This for me is a must visit, you will not be disappointed. 6* well done guys

This restaurant is such a gem. It’s clearly a labour of love, and comes from a deep knowledge not just of the food but of hospitality. My husband is a dedicated carnivore and I am a dedicated vegetarian and there was so much choice for us both. We will be back.
