Took my elderly mum out for dinner. Had a lovely experience. Service attentive but not pushy. Food was served hot and as ordered (apart from fab ice cream sundaes .mums fav). Thank

Worst place we have ever eaten ...we stayed in the Premier Inn and stayed in many hotels and eateries before and from the get go arriving was shocking service...First they didn't have our table . Then they asked us for the hot food for the breakfast that's meant to be all you can eat ..was made to feel like pigs when we ordered a very small amount for our pancakes.....we ordered beans for the children to accompany their toast...all.food was stone cold on arrival and missing items ...the 2 staff we spoke too clearly did not want to be there this morning ..the waiting ladies were slagging off the cooking staff in the kitchen was all very unprofessional...cutlery was thick with other people food ....overall was a horrendous experience and won't ever be returning ...entire family starving ..surrounding tables also agreed the food was disgusting freezing cold they also won't be returning ....avoid for breakfast at all costs ...

This place is way past its sell by date.The few staff are over worked and not interested in providing decent service.The food is terrible - there seems to be no passion in the kitchen. I can’t blame them when the majority of the food arrives frozen.Some other things i noticed:-Sticky, stinky urine soaked carpet leading from the gents toilet directly into the restaurant.-Toilets not cleaned.-No hot water or soap in toilets.The whole place needs a rethink.

Fantastic service even though they were really busy. The staff were friendly and helpful and went out of their way. My only issue was I couldn't tip through the machine which felt really wrong! I don't carry cash so it would be great to be able to recognise fantastic service through the machine if possible!

Food was plentiful.Toilets stunk of urine, there was toilet roll. Male toilet had no hand soap. Would have thought things would have been better for early morning.Vegetarian options: Bacon was good Sausages not good

So disappointed with this place. Everything about it has gone so down hill! Staff are rude and food is disgusting. Dont bother having the roasts over Christmas, they clearly cook in bulk, potatoes were rock hard, parsnips were so burnt they were black. Stuffing was tough. We asked for burgers plain and was then told we didn’t ask for it that way when we most definitely did. We got an extra dinner brought up so explained this was extra and we was told we ordered it when again makes no sense when there was 9 of us and 10 meals were brought up. They agreed to take this off the bill - thank god. When we got the bill we noticed an extra starter that we didn’t order or receive so asked for this to be removed however they refused as they said they witnessed us eat it which is a complete lie!

We had breakfast there last weekend twice with our young children. The staff acted unprofessional and very rude. Not all food was fresh. Wouldn't go there again.

Been to the Haywain many times. Food and service is consistently good here. Steak nearly always cooked exactly as requested. Only negative I'd mention is some staff seem to have attitude about customers using vouchers beefeater send by email. Which I find pretty ridiculous, as it suggests the staff don't realise that the food prices are quite inflated and the vouchers make it reasonable!

Went for breakfast sat down for 45 mins and still no food. We left and went to the harvester accross the road sat down straight away and got food within 15 mins. No blaming the staff as there were only 3 waiting staff. Whoever runs this branch should be ashamed of themselves. Big bosses sort it out please.

Unfortunately, the poor staff are rushed off their feet. They do their best, but there are simply not enough staff to deal with the amount of customers at breakfast time. It’s a real shame because the cooked breakfast is very good. This place has just gone downhill to due to staff cutbacks ??♂️

Shocking food cold.Couldnt eat it. Very dark place, apparently very under staffed all staff hours cut. No toilet rolls in toilet told member of stuff didnt refill. Better of going to the harvester across the road.Parking: Easy to park.Put car reg in restaurant.

Waited two and half hour for our food. No-one checked in with us to apologise or explain. When we did complain we were told everyone is in the same boat! Two other tables got up and left. Surely waitress. When the food did arrive it was lukewarm. There was no offer of a free drink or amount off the bill.

Went for a family meal here, and the food was relatively nice, if not a little overpriced for what it was. Portion sizes for a burger were small by comparison to a local harvester as an example. Refillable drinks were ordered via the service staff, and not a help yourself service - done this way to avoid excessive cost no doubt.Service staff were pleasant enough, but the wait time for food was far too long, and we had to ask where our food was. The service staff didn't seem at all bothered that other people who arrived later were getting their food before us, and we were told that a bigger party caused the delay. Not good enough imo. I'd hate to think what this place would be like if it were full!?The restaurant itself was a bit tired and dark, which didn't do much to lift the mood we felt for waiting so long for the food.Overall I'd probably not go back here and spend my money elsewhere to be honest. Nice food, but that was about it.
