“Had chilli beef & rice for lunch, not the best or very much of it.
Really bland, no taste, no chill.
Could have done with some nachos & sour cream with it, but no.
Will try something different next time.”

“Came for a Sunday roast with the hubby today. 5pm Booking. Best roast we have had in a pub EVER. The service was quick and the staff all very friendly. No long wait… live music in the garden didn’t encroach inside. Dinner was faultless, huge portions, boiling hot, seasoned well and presented well. Bread and butter pudding was the best I’ve ever had and the chocolate and toffee cheesecake my husband has he said was delicious! We highly recommend this place and its roast dinners. We will definitely be back!”

“Had the best afternoon tea, really enjoyed myself. The food and cake are amazing can’t wait to come again! Would highly recommend to anyone to pop in as you won’t be disappointed. The owner is so lovely and makes you feel more than welcome and also loved trying on all the old hats, all in all a good day out x”

Second time here, and it didn’t disappoint. Went for the full English again, and everything was spot-on: bacon crisp, eggs just how I like them, and the tea? Strong, proper, and served with no fuss.
Place has a calm, local feel—no rush, no noise, just a decent start to the day. Staff were friendly without being over the top, and it’s clear they know how to keep things consistent.
Definitely earned its spot on my regulars list.”
