We had a lovley afternoon and the food is lovely.

The tea room looks cute from outside but sadly the quality of the food does not match the decor. It was cold inside, the coffee machine was not working and not all items on the menu were available.

Had an absolutely amazing experience ! The food was spectacular as usual ! We hadn’t been here for over 5 years and the food was just as amazing as we had remembered it! The Lemon and blueberry cake is the one to have!

I went for afternoon tea here, it's a quirky little place and somewhere a bit different to go. The owner is an 'only fools and horses fan' and there was some retro episodes playing in the background - like I said its a bit quirky, the lady serving was very friendly and the decor very nostalgic.

Very reasonable prices for this day and age - I can't remember the last time I did anything and thought "is that all? "when it became time to pay. Food and drink all pretty good. Lots of nan type items on display around the shop to cast a eye over whilst you wait. Personally I would prefer some in keeping music rather than a flat screen TV in the corner but that's just me. If it was possible to give four and a half I would. We'd definitely go back.

This used to be a lovely place for afternoon tea but in the years since we last visited it has lost its sparkle. It’s such a shame but it appears that the new management don’t have a passion for vintage tea rooms. It wasn’t as themed as before, not so quant or pretty, I can’t quite put my finger on the difference. The staff were polite but not friendly - and I’m sure the lady who used to own it / work there used to wear a vintage frock! This could be overlooked if the food was good, but it wasn’t. Simple sandwiches made with cheap bread, hard scones, a stingy amount of cream and no butter, shop bought cake. The coffee was a cheap instant - awful! The lady overheard us talking about it being weak and did make us more, but it was still terrible as it was just cheap coffee. At £17.50 a head it was way overpriced for what we got. I could have easily made something better at home and for a lower cost. Homemade cakes, a range of teas and freshly brewed coffee are what it needs at a bare minimum. We won’t be back!

Had afternoon tea, the price was reasonable however, there was a good selection of sandwiches on the board but we were given ham, cheese and egg mayo. No chutneys. The scones were nice, no chocolate covered strawberrys, mini sausage rolls or quiches, no selection of cakes you just a slab of cake of your choosing. I was expecting the tables to have pretty vintage tablecloths rather than dull plastic covering so the ambience was missing. In comparison to other afternoon teas I think with a bit more effort it could have been made more pretty. People, myself included, are willing to pay a bit extra to have the afternoon tea experience.I could be wrong but the impression given was they had run out of a lot of the food and just made do with what they had left.Shame because I was really looking forward to it.

Service not very friendly. Good value for money. Chocolate cake extremely dry. Recommended by friends but rather disappointing.

My sister was visiting from the States just after our mother's 95th birthday, so I ordered a takeaway afternoon tea and we got out all my mother's antique tea set and tablecloth that hadn't seen use for decades. Absolutely perfect - thank you so much Vintage Tearoom for the lovely fresh sandwiches and delicious cakes and cream teas. And juicy fresh strawberries, where did you get them this time of year? Very generous portions - we couldn't mange it all in one sitting. And so much care taken in presentation.

Popped in here with an old friend and it was lovely. Very nice selection of cakes and great service. Felt very homely. Had always wanted to try and am pleased I have as would recommend. So important to support local little businesses.

Wanting to take our friend out for her birthday, we decided on afternoon tea. I found this little hidden gem on the net. On entering I was a little disappointed that it was smaller than I thought. But we were served by a very obliging young lady, asked for our preference regarding sandwiches and cakes. We said we'd like a variety. There were 5 of us and they certainly delivered a variety, 2 pots of tea which we were asked if we wanted topped up or fresh. Such a quaint little tea shop with mismatched cups and saucers, but of a vintage type which added to it being a 'different' sort of tea shop. The decor is 'vintage' too, with lots of posters/pictures from bygone days as well as hats to try on if you want to, possibly with the idea of a photo being taken. First time, but certainly not the last! Absolutely delighted with the whole experience.
