The food was nice. Ordered the fish and chips, and steak and ale pie. It would've been nice to have a few extra veg with the pie. Service was good. The pub is very quaint inside, with a good music selection. They also have events on, so imagine can be quite the hub if you are a local.Vegetarian options: Lots on offer although didn't try.

Four of us had Sunday lunch, having not been to The Boars Head in years. All I can say is the food, the staff and the service were second to none. Food quality and quantity was very good. Choice of drinks both alcohol and soft were plentiful. Decor was proper olde world, this isn't one of those fake, modern pubs but a real old fashion pub, just how a pub should be. We won't be leaving it so long before our next visit. There are also camping facilties for overnight staying. This is a must go to venue, you won't be disappointed. ** be sure to book your table**

This place is a gem, well worth a very short detour off of the M48. It’s in a quiet village, the staff and owners are so friendly and give really great and personal service. Food was outstanding too. Perfect Sunday Roast!

This pub is absolutely wonderful and we cannot recommend enough. We booked a table with friends and stayed overnight in our campervan I the carpark (there is a nice field but it's been too rainy to use at the moment). This was not a problem for us as the carpark is perfectly quiet and safe with a portaloo behind pub if needed in the night. On our arrival we had the best welcome we have ever had from all of the staff. Our reserved table was available earlier than we expected so we stopped for drinks and sandwich before heading out for a walk over the Severn bridge (very close by)I the evening our friends joined us for food... Wowzers ... The food was amazing. Everyone in our party enjoyed their meals tremendously. The portions are large, produce top quality, flavours amazing and service excellent. We loved our first experience here and will not only be recommending to friends we will all revisit.Thank you to all of the staff at the Boar's head for an amazing experience.

Been to the Boars head quite often over the years. Very disappointing today. Realised they were busy. Seriously though. Waited 52 minutes for our food. 30 minutes is long enough..won't be going back. Shame. Did their best but why book so many people in when they obviously can't deliver. Totally squashed up in a corner and so hot in the room. No no no.
