“This was our first visit to the Lotus as we were holidaying nearby. My husband had a side of chow mein, chicken balls with sweet and sour sauce with egg fried rice. I had a taste of his and we both agreed that it was all really good. I ordered hot and sour soup which we both thought was excellent, vegetable spring rolls which were really good, and crispy shredded beef in chilli and honey sauce. The chilli ? and honey ? sauce was really good but the crispy shredded beef was not good at all, the beef had disintegrated within the batter (which I will add I've never had it battered before) so all you were left with was a greasy fried batter taste and no flavour or pieces of beef. Such a shame as we really enjoyed everything else ?”
