“The food in the pub was excellent; my son (fussy eater) said the ham, egg and chips was the best he’d ever had! The staff were very friendly and the atmosphere in the pub was great. Good value as well. Would highly recommend.”

“The service and the drinks made were fantastic. The old fashioned I had was one of the best ever using bulleit whiskey and the wine menu was so extensive my wife had to think long and hard between the Chablis and the Sancerre! We have the bread sole and the steak. The fish was beautifully cooked and the steak was cooked to a perfect medium rare. Such prompt service too. The servers were delightful and very knowledgeable. The only thing I could fault was the “cauliflower cheese” was actually an imitation and came as a salad. The finding room was a beautiful racing theme which tied in beautifully with the heritage of the old historic pub. Hands down best pub in the village”

“It’s a very quiet town and classic looking small country inn and the food was outstanding . The beef comes from a local property and it was cooked to perfection . One of the best cuts of beef ever ! A little expensive but we had a great time !”
