Shut your eyes and taste the coffee? No, more like hot water. Savour the croissant? No chance. It explodes in a puff of air crumbs and disappears.Open your eyes and take in the view? Don’t bother, it’s concrete and cars.Ah well, at least there’s some daylight & sky!Lacklustre but not, perhaps, too actively offensive. This isn’t appalling - it’s M&S appalling!

The M&S Cafe on the first floor was fairly busy mid-morning, but nonetheless felt soulless. There were very few soft furnishings and the noise was frenetic - just not a particularly relaxing environment. The wait for drinks was lengthy, but the staff were friendly and pleasant. We were surprised not to be offered saucers with our cups (presumably supposed to be mugs?) and the coffee was unfortunately somewhat tasteless. Regrettably, I don't think we will be returning.

This is quite possibly one of the worst cafes I’ve been in. You go to M&S as you expect a certain standard across the board, but this was horrifically bad. The tables & floor were sticky & dirty, with hardly any of the rubbish cleaned away after people had left. The service was slow & the whole cafe seemed to be staffed by teenagers who didn’t have a manger with them keeping things in order. Once the food arrived it was completely undercooked, soggy, greasy & inedible.The only good point was the children’s paper & crayons. I would highly recommend avoiding this place & I definitely wouldn't pay a return visit.

Bright Spacious cafe with plenty of seating and a nice view out the window onto the shopping streets from some tables.I visited about a bit after 9am on a Monday. It was quiet, but I expect later in the day it gets busy.Eggs Royale at £8.50 was lovely, as was the latte.Service was friendly and efficient, and the cafe was clean and tidy

What a great place. The food was delivered REALLY quickly, it was hot, well cooked, and tasted wonderful. Service is good and the place is spotless. I would recommend the big breakfast. It's not enormous, but everything on the plate is good

Had a milk bottle top in my coffee not happy about it. Did give me another coffee but no apology wknt go again.

What a toxic place the person in charge was shouting at staff to move faster. I was totally shocked this has gone down hill so fast. It was like watching faulty towers. I noticed there was a significant lack of vegetarian and vegan options. The food took over an hour and when it came it was cold.The staff were running around like there lives depended on it, I felt so sorry for the girl who got shouted at by I think another manager who was so creepy that he was also deliberately staring at my wife it was just awful.Will never visit here again so sorry for the young staff members being exploited like this.
