I tend to go here every month and a half or so when I visit my friend. Staff are nice and its good value for money. Guinness is decent in this pub and my roast was good last time I went.

Went to Stanshaws a few days back and staff was so Unwelcoming and rude no advertisements of the bar service leading to customers waiting for table service which no longer exists and no management:( a child was in charge of a till and 2 girls with brown hair ignoring customers not leaving eachothers sides to give service and help people’s needs such a shame to see a pub with potential go down hill needs a lot of improvement embarrassing really.

Paul and the staff are fantastic. They have really taken this pandemic in their stride and even before that they have and still have the best pub in the area.

People not following guidelines. Then accused of going in wrong door cause bar staff mistoke me for another person who then came out use after me and nothing was said. People not wearing masks inside to the toilet and having them hanging from their ears. Total lack of guidelines

Ate inside no clear process for track and trace details. Even though every table was available the next couple were sat right next to us. Definitely not 2 metres. Nachos were excellent, burgers were OK could have been better. The t bone steak what a tip off, cold blue when asked for rare, about 5mm thick and spent longer cutting and chewing than the rest of the meal it was very fatty. Never had such a bad t bone. We were told to order at the bar yet every other table had table service....

Thankyou so much Paul and staff for a wonderful venue for our dear dad Alan Jones’s wake on January 26th 2018. My dad would be proud. We have many fond memories of Stanshawes from years ago and it didn’t let us down. Compliments to the chef also the food was spot on. With choices of vegetarian and gluten free. Would recommend this venue to anyone.

Went for carvery today quantity of meat good. Good choice of veg everything you would expect. Unfortunately everything wad luke warm to cold apart from gravy this ruined what was otherwise a good value carvery.
