Not much competition around, but then that doesn't matter as they do great light lunches and cakes etc. at a reasonable price. Despite the queue being quite long, service was fairly quick and the staff were friendly - recommended.

Possibly the worst ham and cheese toasted panini I have ever tasted. Not actually sure there was any cheese or ham just gooey dough!!! Never again. Waste of money.

Great sausage roll! Choice of three cakes 1 vegan 1 gluten free and 1 “normal’ ? loads of choice get over it! Nice spot to take a rest from the trails.

What a gem! So much choice for a small cafe. We came on a busy day and the staff handled it all well. Service with a smile, great food, coffee and cake! We will be back!

It's so handy as a stop off point from the Family Cycle Trail! As a group of 10 and were really impressed to be served our delicious food quickly and with a smile despite it being a busy sunny day. Thanks Team Mallards!

We had a cuppa and slice of gluten free cake from the cafe after our walk and sat by the lake. There was only one gluten free option for cake unfortunately, ginger and lemon, but it was tasty. They could take a leaf out of the book of The Log Cabin at Symonds Yat Rock (also a Forest England site), where there were numerous gluten free lunch options, along with five or six different gluten free cakes!

A friendly welcome and throughly enjoyed my chicken coronation sandwich.
Service slow and employees did not seem to want to be there. The food was OK but basic. Thursday 20th July

Lovely spot for a walk, cuppa and breakfast. Good variety of food choices, including for vegetarians/vegans.

Seriously the best coffee I've ever had! And the best hot chocolate daughter has ever had! Not found anything better since our visit in February half way through our family trail bike ride ❤️ Great sausage rolls too ?

Would not accept cash, so we refused to buy anything, even though it looked quite good....
