Bar in

“A very cool bar, we arrived at a good time as it became busy (but not crowded). A bustling environment that was well handled by the staff who were all friendly. A classic style pub with a very modern attitude.”

“The whole team, but in particular Jose and Lola, were BRILLIANT - they really went above and beyond, and made our surprise party truly excellent. They were great fun, so helpful, super attentive and just generally fab. Good was tasty and the wine even tastier. Some of the best service we’ve ever experienced in London. They couldn’t have done more to make us feel taken care of - thank you so much!Kid-friendliness: Very accommodating for our 18 month old!”

“I am regular at Three Crowns. The vibe is always great and I love the service George gives me and my team. We have an office next door and we come here every week. It was really amazing when George initiated the conversations and recognised us to be the regulars. This kind of service should be recognised!”

“Summary: a nice place for food, but atmosphere wasn’t very compatible with a peaceful meal and staff were efficient but cold.Longer version: came here on a Thursday night - booked a table for 2. This place was busy so I recommend booking in advance. The first thing I noticed is the music in there was far too loud. There is a bar area and a restaurant area, but the music spilled over into the restaurant. Our table was as far away from the bar as it could be, but we were still struggling to hear each other at times. The menu had lots of choice and was clearly labelled for different dietary requirements. I had the chicken skewers as starter which tasted nice, but for the price, the portion size was too small. The fish and chips were nice and the portion size was better, but a tad too oily. No one offered us any condiments with our chips either - which was a shame. For dessert, I had the crumble - good portion size, tasted nice, but not much in the way of crumble! The sticky toffee pudding was nicer in my opinion.Staff were efficient and accommodating. They regularly asked how our food was and we weren’t left waiting for very long for anything. The only thing I would say is that they were quite superficial and cold with us - I don’t think we ever got a genuine smile from anyone. It made the experience rather awkward at times.Price was a little too high for what it was.Dietary restrictions: Menu is labelled for dietary restrictions such as gluten-free options.Staff enquired about allergies at the start.”

“Sushi here was so yummy, really hit the spot! Hot food (i only had the pumpkin katsu) was extra hot and crunchy. Love it.The staff were friendly too. I felt a bit bad for the chef who got screamed at by a nasty customer- though it seemed he was upset he was still really kind and friendly to all customers and his staff. Kudos to him.The only reason for the 4/5 is I do think this place that it is quite overpriced. You can go to other sushi spots for less and easily eat more. Portions are also quite small compared to other restaurants. If they had certain deals or specific days/times where the sushi is a bit cheaper, I think that would be more reasonable. Thankfully I am a student so I get a bit of discount but I can imagine it’s quite dire paying full price (it already was with student discount). Unfortunately if this place didnt give 20% off for students I definitely would not be able to afford it.”
