British Restaurants in Bermondsey Borough Southwark And Waterloo

“Came here for breakfast and had a lovely time. The service was prompt, the food arrived quickly and was lovely. I had the chicken waffle and a large vanilla latte. The waffles were lovely and filling, would also recommend asking for extra syrup. The coffee was great, though the large was definitely more than I needed, so would go regular next time.I would absolutely come back here to try more of the menu!Dietary restrictions: The had milk alternative and could do gluten free version of the waffle and pancake dishes”

“Built in 1864 as a large hotel, the old George Tavern welcomed guests from all walks of life to London’s Isle of dogs. And despite it being remodeled in 1932, The George of today is no different. As one of the few remaining pubs on the Island. There are delicious food, cask and craft ales, premium and spirits, fine wines and heated beer garden. The steak and caramelized onion sandwich with cheese sauce, served with rich beef gravy, is a truly fantastic and delicious menu option. I absolutely love it. Every bite is exquisite, with tender and flavorful beef. The atmosphere inside is as cozy as being at home, and the potato chips are also excellent.Vegetarian options: Veg sandwich menu.Wheelchair accessibility: Also great toilet for wheelchair accessibility.”

“? Borough? £5.60 Amstel❤️ A reinvigorated Borough boozer..Situated at a busy intersection on Borough High Street, you’ll find The Trinity Pub. If you fancy a bit of sightseeing en route, the last remaining wall of Marshalsea Prison (1373–1842) is located just across the road. The nearest Tube is Borough which is next door to the pub..The pub was previously known as The Hole in the Wall from 1899 to 2014, when it was given its current moniker. Prior to 1899, it was known as The St George’s Tavern. Fuller’s acquired the pub in August 2019..The decor here is contemporary and has that Fullers touch of class about it. The main bar is set out in an ‘L’ shape with a dining area at the back and the predominantly imbibing area at the front. The servery is a good size and accessible from all areas, upstairs is a function room called the St George’s Room, I would guess in homage to St George the Martyr Anglican Church across the road..The beer line up is strong, there is a good selection of craft, mainstream and cask options. I was taking in easy and opted for an Amstel, my pint was decent and cost less than six quid. There is a traditional pub grub menu available, I was feeling a bit Hank so ordered some Whitebait, my food hit the spot, price point was £8.95. Just for comparison, Fish & Chips costs £18.50..I arrived just before 3pm on a Saturday afternoon and the pub was busy with both drinkers and diners. The atmosphere was welcoming and convivial, there was a nice buzz here. The service was on point, the two ladies behind the bar were all smiles and courteous. There is plenty on offer here to keep you entertained, throughout the month there are comedy nights, quizzes and cocktail evenings. Also, if you work for the NHS, discounts are available..I last visited the @trinityborough five years ago, back then it was a tired Borough watering hole. This pub is a great example of “ build it and they will come”. I really enjoyed my visit here, lots of different people from all walks of life socialising in a welcoming environment, just as it should be. Definitely worth a look folks..ℹ️ Info correct on visiting 15.07.23”

“If you want good deals on food and drinks, All Bar One is the place to be. This particular branch is spacious but cosy, and in a perfect location to stop off for some lunch or to get the party started.I stopped by with a friend to have a snack-type lunch and found the food to be tasty and plentiful. Although I did not have a drink this time around, I have in the past had drinks at all bar one and always found the cocktails to be well made.Service at this all bar one was also very good.Vegetarian options: There is a wide range of vegetarian options on the menu”

“Popped by on Saturday and it was a quaint and traditional place with a lovely atmosphere! It's around £7 for a pint, which is obviously slightly on the expensive side but as expected because of its location. Service was really quick and efficient. I was served by Sasha, we had a nice chat and loved the recommendations she made! Definitely my favourite place in Borough market area and can't wait to return soon...”

“We was here on 11.11.2023Very good food and service, but very very unfriendly manager (administrator) blond girl. She is absolutely not customer oriented and not able to make her job well.Owner of restaurant have to change her, otherwise many customers will not visit this place again. Also she is pushing all waiters and they get nervous….I can recommend this place, but be ready to get angry because of manager if you will contact her ?”
