Food and services were ok and standard. The environment is standard UK pub ???

The staff insisted on making us leave at 22:47. We weren’t overly loud, as everyone has had less than one drink so far (we arrived around 10). When I asked if they closed at 11 PM, he said “We close at 10. It’s not my fault if you can’t tell the time”. It was rude. We didn’t even get to finish our drinks. The prices are aggressive as well, I paid £6.9 for a pint of Beavertown.

very good fish and chips but slightly high prices, however being verbally attacked by a crackhead left me with a bad memory of this place

Food, service and the atmosphere were all amazing. Warmingly recommending this place!Vegetarian options: Really good vegetarian options! Our group tested three of them and everyone loved their portions.

The pub is under new management - very disappointing generic pub menu - where are the pizzas? They were great and one of the reasons we came here so often for beer and food. The Steam Engine is now our local choice.

Good option for Sunday roast in the area.

We were a few friends who came here for lunch after visiting the nearby Imperial War Museum. we were warmly welcomed and the service we received throughout was exceptional. The food was standard pub dishes plus one or two more exsotic dishes, like Moules Frites. The food was good, the prices reasonable and the atmosphere great. What is not to like. If I am even in the area again, I'll come back here.

The wife and I visited from Texas. Delicious Irish roast and fish and chips. We definitely enjoyed the fish and chips here better than the ones at Fishkitchen in Burrough Market. Beer on tap was very delicious as well. Will visit again forsure!

Popped into The Three Stags last night and was blown away! I’d heard that it’s been taken over by the owners of The Mayflower and The Prince of Wales, great news ! I tried the mussels which were so good and my partner had fish and chips, equally good! Staff were great and the owners have created a very cosy and welcoming atmosphere. Already booked a table for Friday night to try something else on the menu!
