“This is a very picturesque place with a very large front grassy yard full of happy people enjoying a nice Summer afternoon and evening. Being one of the Wetherspoons locations, The Fox on the Hill is super pretty and has a lot of seating options both inside and outside. Lots of nooks and crannies around as well. There are plenty of food and drink options and all at pretty decent prices. This location reminds me of the McMenamins chain of restaurants, hotels, bars, etc. in the Oregon and Washington state areas in the USA. We ordered several pitchers of the Woo Hoo or Woo Woo (?) which is a cranberry based cocktail concoction. Very tasty. We also ordered a slew of apps to share which included fries, curry fries, chicken tenders, onion rings, nachos, margherita pizza, garlic bread and Halloumi fries. Most of these were pretty good with the pizza coming in last in regards to taste and appearance. I love the Wetherspoons concepts and their drink specials and unique locations. I'll keep on coming back to them.”
