Staff were friendly despite a busy Friday evening. Pizza was “meh”, it was nice in that it was thin base but soggy, and way to much bread on the crust, maybe this is just the style? However having been to Crisp W6 pizza quite a few times where the pizza base is thin & crispy regardless of toppings, it confuses me how this place won the “worlds best pizza” award. Crisp W6 must’ve been too busy to apply to participate in the competition.

The person who greeted us was cranky. The food was pretty good the man who gave wine advice was very bright. This is our son’s favorite pizza spot

When we arrived we were ushered outside. It wasn’t a warm welcome. It almost felt like we were being questioned . It was in doubt if we were going to be allowed inside, even though we had a reservation. Once we were inside the atmosphere was relaxed, and a friendly waiter took our order. The menu is varied, and we had no complaints with the quality of the food. The pizza was of a high standard. However a salad we ordered was over 30 mins late in arriving. Once the delayed salad was eaten we went to order desert but were told that we weren’t allowed desert as our time was up. We insisted on desert as 3 courses were advertised, and our main had been delayed. It was reluctantly bought out but there was a lot of pressure for us to leave. The whole atmosphere was tense, and it was all very unnecessary. They are turning tables around far too quickly. If you go just order a main course as there won’t be enough time to enjoy anything else. It’s such a shame as the quality of the food is good.

Napoli on the road is rightly deserving of Pizza Maker of the Year 2023. This was hands down the best pizza we've ever eaten. The team are super friendly and attentive and the atmosphere is wonderful. And it's great value for money. We will be back again very soon!

Great pizza but terrible service! We made a reservation and when we arrived they made us wait half an hour for our table. The head waiter didn't seem to care and once we were seated, after 2 minutes of being handed the menus, the waiter told us to hurry up because it was late, as it was our fault that we were seated half an hour after our booking. Do no take reservations if you cannot manage them! Next to our table was the drinks counter where many midges were flying around, a bit disgusting. That pizza deserves a much better location and service. I will not go back there because there are many better pizzerias in London where customers are respected and treated better. I cannot believe that this disorganised pizzeria is among the 50best!

Ok this was a really strange experience. Booked online a few weeks ago and we arrived on time to just be stood there whilst the lady 'greeting' us ignored us. So i mentioned we have a booking and she said you cant... she then asked to see an email confirmation which i showed to her. We then stood there whilst the staff cleared a table. Sat down and menus arrived by the Asian waitress who was really helpful and pleasant throughout our visit. We then ordered and asked for a few things could be added removed and she checked with the other lady to be told no.... the answer was we dont change signature pizzas. There then followed a really odd exchange when two staff stared and pointed at me and wife making it obvious they were talking about us and laughing. When we both looked over they stopped and went away. One of the women later returned to make the situation even worse by saying 'oh we weren't talking about you we were talking about how the cutlery was placed on the table' Then after the meal i went to use the restroom and again stopped near the kitchen at the back and asked "What are you doing here" I said using the bathroom and was told oh ok its at the back which is where i was heading. Whole experience from start to finish was odd - looking at other tables it was pretty similar. The couple next to us were saying the same. I get it you have just won a award and its busy but sort out your service as no one will ever return when you have experiences like this and reading the reviews others have said the same. Food was good inc the starters and desserts but we wont be returning.

Pizzas are good, no doubts about it , however not better than many others Neapolitan pizzerias scattered around London. I think the fact that this place recently has had few “top pizzas” articles has raised my expectations therefore I was expecting a unique dough, perhaps a wow factor.Charging £14 for a standard spicy salami or £16 for a Capricciosa I found it a little excessive.Vegetarian options: Few Veg options available

One of the best Neapolitan pizzas you can find in London, have already gone to lots of the top50 in Europe, and I have to say these ones were amazing, in my top 3 for sure. The flavours were different to the typical ones, and they were great. The place is a bit noisy.

Appallingly bad service. Very rude, incredibly slow, and left waiting for a long time. Will not be back.

I consider myself somewhat of a pizza connoisseur. This is one of the best pizzas I've ever had. It is also the most expensive.Tried the Cheesewick with extra spicy salami and it was juicy and flavorful, an absolute delight. The tiramisu was also vey good. So, is it overpriced? Definitely. Is it worth a visit? Absolutely.

I've seen many reviews and social media posts, and I've been looking forward to trying the pizza. I have to admit, it's the best pizza I've ever had by far compared to other places in and around London. It's a great small venue, and I don't really understand the negative feedback from others saying it's too noisy. Who wants to eat pizza quietly? Pizza is best enjoyed in a lively atmosphere. The staff is cheerful and responsive. The location is excellent, and it's easy to park on weekends after 7 pm

Was so pleased to have bagged a table to celebrate my birthday after reading such rave reviews. It has to be the worst dining experience ever. The place is so cold, we had to keep our coats on. Our table was booked for 8.45pm, 4 of us ordered starters with Pizza’s to follow at around 9.15. By 10.30 we were still waiting for our pizza when we enquired they said they would be out very soon and then admitted that they had forgotten us . Pizza was soggy and the worst I have ever tasted. Staff felt they were giving us a discount by waving the service charge. How this place has won pizza of the year I do not know. Will not be going back! An awful dining experience.

My family are absolutely mad about pizza. They’ve eaten (and can give you their lengthy opinions on) 100s of pizza restaurants in all continents bar Antarctica. When we read about this place in ‘The Week’ we booked straightaway - and with a two week wait and a 45 minute drive to get there on a Saturday lunchtime the levels of anticipation and excitement were high. Sadly it didn’t live up to the hype and awards. The pizzas are just ‘Ok’. The basic ingredients are clearly good but they are far too wet and fell off the base each and everytime we picked up a slice - not the way we like to eat pizza when it makes a massive pool of slop on your plate. The taste similarly is just Ok, nothing to rave about, and definitely lacking in any real flavour. It was extremely busy and despite their best efforts the staff and chef clearly overstretched . There are plenty of better tasting pizzerias in London & Europe, and whilst we wish them every success, Napoli on the Road is somewhere we won’t be going back to on our pizza tours of the globe.

After seeing all the publicity had to go and try, for pizza i give it 6/10, too much dough on crust

We were excited to try this place for my husband’s birthday. The ambience was nice, and the service was friendly. We were a little cold as the door opened straight on to our table. The starters were okay, but the crocchi were not as described on the menu - both were panko crumbed, no cornflakes, and no discernible difference in potato type. The pizzas were incredible on first bite, but quickly became soggy and over sweet. We tried two speciality pizzas and a margarita. In total, we had four starters, three pizzas, three soft drinks and one beer (a tiny thing for £7.50) - and the bill was well over £100. Sadly, we won’t be back.
