My friend and I went to Clapton Table for lunch, food was good, although we got our main before our starter. Asked for fizzy water got given tap water in a bottle that said sparkling. Service charge was added which I would asked to have been removed as service wasn't good enough to warrant a tip. Won't be

It looks lovely inside and food is nice. The staff is not very friendly to say the least. They don’t come up to take the order chatting instead when the restaurant is empty. But they do come up to tell you it is not allowed to work on your laptop after 18.00 when there is 3 tables sitting out of 25….. Such a shame and no wonder it’s usually empty even on weekends!

The food is absolutely delicious here . Had a the perfect romantic birthday meal here . Always takes me some time to choose what to eat - Lamb melts in mouth , vegetarian moussakka so full of flavours and the bannoffee pie just topped it.Love the decorations , the plants , the chilled jazzy music vibe and that you can look out of their big windows .

Rather than the usual Turkish grill it's more of a cosy restaurant vibe with restaurant-style dishes that were very tasty. (They do grills too of course). We loved the sauted lamb on aubergine dish.

I thought this place is so well-balanced with their service, quality of food and price. My favorite dish here is Mediterranean Chicken - the meat is well cooked (not dry) it’s a very comforting and tasty dish. I love their service as well - very warm and kind, and not too overly performative or friendly like many other places. Smoothies are nice too. I’ve had their coffee as well and it wasn’t bad at all, though I think their neighbors are more of experts. But this place is great to chill as their atmosphere is nice too.

The Clapton Table was such a lovely little find or so myself and a friend thought then last Sunday happened. The waitress was unwelcoming, she was rude at the table, she ordered us half portions and still charged full price, when I told a woman at the till that I was unhappy with the waitress service.The waitress who served us erupted like a volcano raising her voice. She was foul! Other staff members could not contain her.There is no going back from this. Good luck to all that visit that business.
