Floor is stickyTables are stickyMenus are sticky.I am amazed, especially since covid that tables etc are not properly cleaned regularly.Don't even get me started on the toilets ?Just because drinks are much cheaper in a wetherspoon pub doesn't mean people should have to put up with dirty surroundings.

I really like the staff here, very friendly indeed. Beer is good and food is decent but my only complaint would be the toilets always stink of dried pee, I’ve been to this pub 3 times in the last 2 weeks and on each time I was completely grossed out by the loos..

Hadn't been in this pub for many years. Typical wetherspoons. Cheap beer and value for money food. It felt exactly the same as ever. Faces change, but people don't

As far as spoon pubs go this is the best one I have been in. Come here a few times in the last week and I have not had to get out my spoon sanitising wipes to clean the tables. Most spoon pubs I have to wipe the tables from the sticky mess that is left even after staff have cleared the table of glasses and plates. Today a member of staff saw that I had just sat down and came over to wipe my table, if only other spoons did this.Excellent staff and very accommodating, not like some where asking them a thing like "please clean my table" is taken as an insult and greeted with disdain. The manager nod this pub should be congratulated and looked upon as a mentor for other less capable managers who see it as their duty to befriend their staff and not give any consideration to the paying punters. I have heard this pub is closing so I hope they retain the staff as they know how to operate a pub. Thanks to all the staff at The Toll Gate.

Been there for a quick breakfast, even though the place was empty an english breakfast took 18 min to come out, meanwhile a woman on her 40s who appeared to be the manager kept serving alcohol to a customer i witnessed vomiting in the toilet 5 min prior, this was at 10:30 in the morning on a Wednesday, i refuse to imagine how this place looks like on a Friday evening...(the food was decent though).

Another great Wetherspoons pub. Pictures of the history of wood green adorn the walls, very mice and cosy pub.

Great staff, best cider in North London. This place needs to stay open.(Also has some of the most polite punters I have come across.)

The oldest pub on the Wetherspoons estate and destined for closure and sale under a nationwide revenue generating program. The decor hasn't changed since I remember visiting back in the 1990's...and frankly it shows. The clientele most likely date from well befordle that same period too.

Good but not the best Wetherspoon pub. Needs to improve the concept. But the food is good.

Nice local pub, wooden interiors with a very good selection of beers. The customer service could be improved:only a couple of people work while the other ones just pretend. The toilets can be filthy sometimes. When you order food it can take up to 40 minutes, it depends on the manager in charge. It was much better some years ago.

It is one of the cheapest pubs I ever tried in London, although sometimes the food smell is alot inside the bar!
