My partner had the butter milk chicken burger, which was acceptable for a pub. I had the sirloin which was wet cardboard and, yes I ordered it medium rare which it did appear to be, so if you like steak, order the buttermilk chicken. On the plus side it did come artistically perched on a mountain of fries, if that's your thing.

Booked a table for a work dinner on a Sunday for a roast, with deposit. Upon booking, we asked if there would still be enough of all meats available to order and they assured us there would be. Sadly this wasn’t the case, they had nothing but the chicken left ??♀️The chicken was lovely - however 8 out of ten of us wanted other meats and were looking forward to it and was promised it would be available.

Hired the Farmers Room for an 80th birthday afternoon tea for 40 people.Nice spacious room with plenty of tables and chairs.Tea and coffee topped up regularly and all the food was lovely. Staff were inconspicuous but around if needed. Much cheaper than other local venues and the afternoon was enjoyed by all.Would definitely recommend.

Sad to leave a bad review but as recent service has really dropped here and prices have gone up too much.There is only ever one person serving at the bar. The food has really gone down. The wine has become so expensive over £10 for a glass. A pub lunch shouldn't be costing more than the Westerdale. Especially with poor service.

Really upset to be giving such a bad review. I was a regular customer however I was double charges £50 as the waiter mentioned the first transaction did not go through although i showed it did work on my apple pay.I have been going back and fourth for nearly a year now! The customer service agreed it was a mistake on their end, and its with the finance team to refund me. Absolutely ridiculous! Really cannot believe it, they have literally taken from me!
I took a friend for her birthday and was really disappointed by the whole experience... the napkins were discoloured due to the brass tables... the cutlery unclean... the brass table was full of marks due to the cleaning product they use on it. I wiped it off with my napkin, and it was all blue. The waiter dropped our 2 cocktails on the floor. The breaded mushrooms were super dry on the outside and lukewarm in the inside it's got to be frozen stuff... the mains were ok but a bit flavourless... The deserts were great!!!! The waiters were nice but I was expecting a better service. I won't take a friend for a special birthday there, maybe for drinks but not for eating, especially for the price!
