Worse prawn balls i have ever had. Tons of raw batter. I scraped some out of just 2 prawns and there was 3 spoons full. Sweet and sour sauce was very watery and had a funky after taste. Not impressed.

We usually go to Great Wall but it’s gone down hill recently and was shut on New Years Day, so we decided to take a chance on this place. May as well have set my £35 on fire. I never leave reviews but felt I had to as this is honestly the worst food I have ever tasted in my entire life.Chicken chow mein was just plain, cold, flavourless, dry noodles that suspiciously looked old and reheated.Szechuan chicken was watery, bland and barely cooked. The chicken had the colour and consistency of poached egg white! Repulsive.Duck with spring onions and ginger was just a box of yellow onions in watery, tasteless gravy, with a couple of pieces of flabby, hard, grey meat…no ginger, no taste…really vile.Egg fried rice, so blandSingapore noodles not as terrible as the rest…just about edible because we were starving. But if I were being generous I might give it a three out of ten.Even the complimentary prawn crackers were tasteless!All four of us all agreed it was so disgusting that it was inedible, so threw it away and my husband never wastes food! I find it hard to understand how this place remains open, it’s spectacularly, criminally bad.In interest of fairness, I have given a couple of stars for service, as the girl on the phone was polite, as was the delivery guy and the food arrived at the correct time. But the one star review for the food would have been zero stars if I could, it’s shocking that anyone can cook so badly! Just horrendous!

This is the best Chinese restaurant in the area. We first tried it a couple of months ago and haven’t ordered from anywhere else ever since. The chowmein is the best I’ve had in a long time and every other Chinese item we have tried has arrived super quick and is delicious.

I don’t write reviews often but I will for this restaurant. I have never had a bad meal from Sun chuen, the food gets delivered very quickly and it is always piping hot… I can not fault them Staff friendly always allow me to adapt my order, delivery drivers are always polite and happy to meet you. I havent used another local chinese restaurant since my first order with these guys. ?
